it's just another boring day~~~

Went to school early today to discuss our comm theory assignment... and we got all things sorted out... i have to get my part done on thursday... which our presentation will be on friday... yeah.... i'll be so screwed....

then i'll have to type out the shooting schedule or script or whatever you call that.... then the permission letter for location shooting.... and get ready for shooting next week....

besides... i have a moral mid term tomorrow.... i have not touch a bit of it... not even the theories.... i'm planning to force myself to swollow everything tomorrow... since i have around 4 hours of free time...

what's next??? oh yes... my advertising assignments!!! print ads... websites...

well... today's moral class... presentation time again.... as you know... and i bet everybody will be nodding their head furiously now.... that moral presentations are a real bore.... regardless of whoever is presenting....

anyway... members of the bc3 gang who attended the class today are..... me, eggy, agnes.... while kevin, marc and joanne will appear occationally for the attendence sake... anyway... in the middle of class... agnes went out to nowhere.... leaving me and eggy in the torturously boring class... luckily we've got edison and choon wai entertaining us... with their humorous conversations and very nostalgic games.... so it's not that bad after all....

i actually plan to jot down notes for my part of the comm theory assignment but at last got distracted because edison and choon wai's conversations are too funny to resist.... doraemon!!!

until ishani started shooting people while their group is presenting and kena shot back by the back-seaters....

the whole presentation thingy went on and finished at around 5.40.... imagine the jam then.... i was near to dozing off while driving on the moving-by-cm traffic at federal highway.... i think i'll just sleep early tonight and get everything going tomorrow.... this includes points-jotting and notes-revising....

multi... tasking

currently... watching bones.... analysing my comm theory stuff... and blogging at the same time... wooo... multi-tasking!!!! and i'm also suppose to amend my permission letters and stuff....

its week 10 already... i have a moral mid term on wednesday.... a comm theory presentation on friday and then a whole week of shooting next week.... from monday to saturday.... from dusk till dawn... there's even stay-overs so that we dont have to waste too much time by going back and fro to the shooting location....

i'm pretty looking forward for our shooting week... which will be damn hectic... busy... nerve-wrecking week of production... till now... everything is still all over the place.... i wonder how kelam-kabut will we be by the time... we have loads of shots and scenes... tons of props.... a great number of locations.... hopefully everything will turn out smoothly and miracle-ous-ly successfully with zero hurdles and errors....

anyway.... to cut things short.... these few weeks is gonna be hectic because assignments are due-ing.... and there are heaps of them to be completed... some are just in the brain-storming state and some are just in the pre-production state... so i guess everything will be all concentrated withins these few weeks and i'll not be as free as a bird anymore... until week 14 ends... untill all assignments are handed in...

then here comes my study week then final exams... woo-hoo.... habis semester!!! then year 2 sem 2.... waa-haa....

ok i'll go back and concentrate on watching bones and analysing my comm theory points...

i hope i'll remember the techniques... i recorded one of them here...

group photo with our sensei... (why do i look so cocky?? and fat!!!!!!)

by the way.. the akido and karate group is right beside us... we saw 3 very cute karate members demonstrating....

group practice

akido side... the man talking to our sensei is a japanese... and he speak very fluent BM!!! tsugoi ne~~!!!!

After furoshiki, we went off for lunch break.... and we had free nasi lemaks.... heee....

the "heavenly" effect was due to the strong sunlight

we pass by the Go club... japanese chess...

after all those... we went back to the auditorium for the closing ceremony.... got our "provided" lunch and went off...

did i mention that UM is DAMN BIG!!!! we got lost in the campus area just because we missed a turning... round the whole place just to find the exit to jalan university.... ish... if only utar is also this big... or maybe just half as big will do... it will certainly be awesome!!!!

Japanese Language Festival (day 1)

Woke up at around 7.30.... went out at 7.45... headed to bear's place to pick bear and pieggie up... who knows.... they woke up late!!!! so we were suppose to be there at 8.30am for registeration but arrived at around 8.45.... anyway... we still manage to register.... haha...

the opening ceremony started at 9.30... with dance performances from methodist girl's high
and fujima school of dance.... then speech from the Very Important Person-s... i dont think i have to name them.... they are presidents from japanese societies, UM... etc.... then it's break time...

hiru-gohan time!!! i brought tuna sandwiches.. anyway... i bought some small stuff such as potato salad... tamago "something" ( i forgot the name..) and the "rice balls"...

after lunch... it's movie time!!! we watched "water boys"!!! nice!!! i watched the series before but the movie is as good and entertaining...

after the movie... we went to the marketplace to see what "omiyage" are sold... but there's nothing much... just some drawings of manga.... teru-teru botsu... bookmarks... t-shirts... i think that's all... so we just hung around for like half an hour then we went back to the auditorium for air-cond.... hehe... at the same time.... we also discussed our mv production stuff... haha... we didnt waste time yo!!!

after that... it's japanese workshop time... we seriously dont know which level we belonged to so we just simply stood at a spot where a group of uni students stood... so that we wont look old... other groups are full of "little kids" (aka high school students)... we stood at the level 5 group... played a few games involving hiragana and katakana.... then sang songs and dance some japanese aerobic thingy... dont's know what's it called....

after that we called it a day.. 5pm already!!! we chatted with one of the japanese instructor... she's from yokohama... and she said there are no beaches at yokohama... only the sea... so they cant swim there.... zannen desu-ne~~

after dropping bear and pieggie... oh ya... stephanie was waiting for pieggie at her gate when we reach there... how long have you been waiting, steph???

on my way home... mom called and say my 2nd uncle (jee ku) invited us over to his place for dinner.... and i'm required to go home... and not hang around.... i'm not hanging around anyway... i have no place to hang....

my cousin brother came back from england.... that's why we were invited for dinner... he going back on monday... submit his thesis and complete his phD.... wow...

anyway... his girlfriend bought this very very delicious cheesecake....

yummu yummy yum....

sigh~~~

My photoshop assigmment is a grand major disaster since everything just dont go right.... i know that i dont have a strong idea to back the whole assignment... but at least a little tiny weeny bit of skills may help... but NO.... it's not good at all... i have went for consultation with my tutor for like a gazillion times and i have to change something everytime.... i see the problem too but i just dont know how to change it.... maybe i'm just not fit to even breathe the air that advertisers are breathing now....

my mv shooting week is getting nearer and nearer.... next next week.... locations are yet to be confirmed... props are yet to be prepared.... plans are yet to be written.... shooting script and call sheet are yet to be submitted.... permission letters are yet to be signed..... and application forms are yet to be handed-in.... so many things to do..... i'll be like very very busy for the whole week 11... i bet i'll not be updating my blog.... unless i put them schedule... but i dont think that will happen....

i'll have to go confirm my locations of shooting next week.... and how ironic... raymond lam is coming to malaysia tomorrow at NXZ.... and i'm going to NZX next week to confirm one of my locations.... however i cant make it tomorrow because i'm attending a japanese language festival at UM tomorrow... yikes.... it's not like raymond lam will stop by malaysia every now and then... this time he's in PJ and i just have to miss him!!! ish ish ish!!!!

and my comm theory assignment presentation is next week.... i'm so so so worried because this involves the critical analysing thingy which i dont understand at all... and the tutor will just shoot if she sees mistakes so i better be careful and watch my points....

done~~

finally... i'm done with the moral presentation... and i'm officially free from assignments in BM... good!!!!

presentation like always... especially when it comes to LAN subjects.... it's kinda boring.... and the worst thing is... our group was the 3rd group at first because we got question no.3..... but the lecturer suddenly wnat us to draw lots before the class... and i got group no.6!!!! the last group of the day... oh my god!!!! everybody is really desperate to go home by the time we are presenting... but who cares anyway.... as long as we presented and it has ended today.... that's the best part of the day!!!!

"listening" to the other groups' presentation are kinda torturing too... just the same as others when they listen to our presentation.... but some group's silde's design are kinda interesting with captions all around... so at least i get to pay attention to the slides just to read what is the caption saying.... because sometimes the words on the slides will block the captions....

"if living is without you, i cant live anymore... well i cant forget this evening, or your face as you were leaving. but i guess that's just the way the story goes. you always smile..."

this was what written on the slides as a design.... don't ask me what it means... because i seriously dont know....

tomorrow i'm supposed to stop by pieggie's place after japanese class to complete the call sheet and stuff... i feel so lazy now....

anyway... i have another 2 days 1 night activity at UM this saturday and sunday.... boy i almost forgot that.... luckily bear and pieggie reminded me.... i thought it is next week... how time flies man!!!!

presentations~~ exams...

Its my moral presentation tomorrow... now i'm still going thru the report... but it will be the last time now... wheeee.... because i'll have to hand in everything tomorrow and woohoo!!! get over it after presentation!!!! yippeee!!!! after the very torturous corrections and lack-of-info problem...

anyway... i'll be going to school early tomorrow... so that means no worries about getting a cost-free and summon-free parking space already!!! besides... the graphic design's students will also start working on their assignment... collaboration between broadcasting and graphic design.. haha.. they'll be designing our mv's cover.... i'm quite excited to see what they have done... because i'm not good at all in design and i'm always thrilled to see others' creative plus wonderful designs that will never appear in my mind.... ya... that is why... i'm not a design student!!!

wooh... today's broadcasting two mid term was a total disaster!!! worse than comm theory and multimedia tools for advertising!!!! the problem is... we dont have any question paper to refer to... our questions are all on screen through the power point slides... and if you think this is good because we are saving paper and the environment at the same time... think again!!!! we are doing multiple choice questions!!! the speed of answering for everbody is different so we are only allowed around 1 minute per question... we have one minute to read the question.... go through the choices available... and flip through books to refer the answer... ah yes.. i forgot to mention... it's an open-book test.... and no, it's not good at all... because within the 1 minute... you'll not have time to flip thru pages and search for the answers... unless you are 100% certain where the answer is... but if that's the case... you'll also have to be certain about the answer already... so no point refering after all....

but that's not all!!!! we also need to DRAW!!!! oh my tuhan!!!! and stick-man is not allowed!!!! oh gosh!!! that's the only thing i know how to draw that resembles a human being... and now i have to draw a human body!!!! what the!!!! i'm not sure whether mr.beh understands my drawing... because of the un-defined gender cases... i myself am not sure whether i'm drawing a man or a woman in those pictures... but it's mostly men... cuz i dont know how to draw long hair... pathetic la!!!!

i'm not finish yet!!!! i still have to write a shooting script!!! which i'm not really sure about the format... and i have to write it within 8 scenes!!! oh gosh!!!! i like panjang lebar punya story!!! this one is too compact!!! anyway... it's better than the last 2 sections anyway... despite the fact that i'm not sure of the format....

oh... forgot to mention again... for the multiple choice question... 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer... but if you leave it blank... then no marks will be given or deducted... so might as well leave it blank than to risk marks being deducted.... cuz i might just get one answer correct and end up getting a negative mark.... whoosh!!!! i never in my life ever receive negative marks for exams... so i guess this might just be the first time.... CHOY!!!!

anyway.... it's mentally and physically tiring after comepleting the whole exam... although it's just only around 1 and a half hour... whoosh!!!!

works

I'm done with my moral report now... for now... i'm not sure whether will there be any last minute changes or corrections... which always happens when we get our assignment done a few days before the due date... well.. it did happen to our mv proposal... as we finished it like 3 days agao but found out that some things were missing on the day of presentation itself.... ya... that's our luck....

i just finish snapping photos of the stuff i wanna add into my photoshop assignment... haven't really started it yet... i'm still thinking of the design... cant really picture the layout yet... so i'll leave myself to brainstorm mentally later... but i'll somehow start something today... even though it involves just saving a blank project under a filename... that's counted too, you know!!! however... i'm really having a bad feeling about this.... even worse than the time when i was doing my illustrator assignment... the tutor wants pictures/photos that are at least 4 megapix and above.... luckily my antique digicam still has the ability to fulfill that requirement.... it's no more, no less... 4 megapix... i so gotta get a new digicam... i dont know how many memory cards it has corrupted and how many valuable photos has just vanished into thin air just because of the digicam's cranky-ness.... i have reformatted the memory card leaving there no hope for it to be repaired and bring back the photos that were inside.... sigh....

anyway.... i'll also have to work on my presentation script.... have to time myself... i wonder how fast can i speak in BM??? hahaha... i'll get tongue-tied anyway....

oh damn!!!! i still have a lot of things to do!!!! i just remembered something really important!!! ish!!!

frustrated...

now... i'll have to re-do my communication theory assignment... due to some "misunderstanding" and "confusion" caused by the handouts... aish....

it's really weird that i keep having problems with communication theory... it's suppose to be a communications subject but how come i feel that there are a lot of lack-of-communication problems within the subject itself... even the lecturers and tutors themselves......

i will not be explaining how the whole "misunderstanding" goes... because it's complicated and it rises my temper.... so now i only have one week to rush off this thing with my group members... so i guess we'll have to postpone the ice-monster thingy next week ya... so sorry!!!!

anyway... i'm still on my moral assignment report... i'll get it done today anyhow.... actually it's almost done except for the reference part which is really hard to do... i had a hard time finding places to put the citations.... anyway... i did brush my BM back up... although it's not *squeek shiny... but it'll do for presentation.... and we'll only have 3o mins per group for the presentation... not more than 30mins because there are a lot of groups and only 6 weeks of 3 hours lecture classes for presentation so everybody will not be allowed to take their time and just "uumm.." "ahh..." "errr.." away in their presentation... yo'll just have to rap your way on it yo!!! haha rappie accent....

after that... i'll have to start on my photoshop assignment which is the "multimedia tools for advertising" assignment... then we'll also have to brainstorm the print ads for the third assignment... oh gosh!!! i wonder how many more advertising subjects do i have left??!!! unti then... i think my brain will dry out like a desert due to contribution of ideas for those assignments....

i'll have to get the photoshop ready tomorrow too.... so that i can show it to my tutor and let her decide which is better... i give up on searching for animal photos because i still can't find any besides my neighbour's dog and the stray cats around my neighbourhood.... so i got another option which is kinda ridiculus but it's worth a try... although i bet you 150% that the tutor will be banning this option.... but.... i'm stubborn...

then... i'll have to work on my presentation script for moral... we have 6 people in a group and 30 minutes means 5 minutes per person... but i have a lot to cover... the introduction... the pandangan kumpulan... the conclusion... unless la.... somebody wanna share????? and tolong meringankan beban saya????

what else do i have to do???? oh ya!!! not forgetting my comm theory assignment... which i have to go through.... books from the library... limited!!!! compared when we so called "thought" we were doing agenda setting... we had 12 books in hand from the library... and now we only have 7!!!!!! why the hell is the handouts so confusing???!!!! damn!!!

my ways of budgeting....

with the petrol price increased.. and so does the price of a majority of products in the market.... people are bound to be saving money and cutting costs on their daily expenditure.... since i have nothing to write i decided to share some of my ways of being thrifty, stingy, a cheapskate, budgeting in my daily expenditure....

Firstly... you'll have to decide in every expenses required situation... "which is more important?? money or time????" why do you have to do that??? because things that are at a lower cost will usually require more time to be consumed.... agree??? no??? let me show you a few examples... taking a taxi and a bus.... a taxi cost more but allows you to reach your destination faster than a bus which costs less but will take a longer time to reach your destination because it needs to stop to pick up or drop passengers from time to time... still dont agree??? home-made cooking usually cost lesser than outside food because they charge service charge... at home.. no service charge is required.. you'll just have to pay for the ingredients and utilities.... but it takes a longer time to prepare a meal than to just hop into a restaurant and dine.... and you dont have to wash the dishes too... unless you didnt bring enough money to pay.. then that's another case....

after giving 2 examples i guess people will now understand that the decision making as stated above is kinda important when it comes to budgeting.....

for me... as a student who will not have to worry about rental and other big stuff... my budgeting plan is really simple... and will be more suitable for students like me....

firstly... food... this is what i spend on the most.... well... if you really want to save on food... then the mamak stall is always the best choice.. since you can settle your meal in less than RM5... but sitting at the mamak stall may not be comfortable... under the hot and glaring sun.... with cars passing by... dust everywhere... of course you can also choose to take away.. but using the not-very-environmental-friendly polystyrene box may not be good for your conscience... unless you dont care... then it's ok... but if you do... just bring along a tupperware... and your own cutleries... however... if you are... like me... who prefer a nicer environment for food for a slightly higher price... then you can hop on to some economical cafe or coffee shop situated around your campus area... why??? because usually diners situated near a college or univeristy campus are bound to provide discounts for students... usually the food will not be more than RM10... sometimes a set may be more worth it since it comes with drinks... but sometimes a set is actually the price of the food and drink in total... maybe minus a few cents to make it look cheaper... in that case... you can always arder ala carte and bring in you own water bottles.... although it states "no outside food and drinks allowed" but usually it's ok for water bottles... but if the drinks are bottomless and you are going to stay at the cafe for like more than 2 hours... ordering the drinks may not seem like a bad choice after all... and sometimes... you can share it with a friend... heee

students spend quite some money on printing notes too... to print in campus is usually cheaper than printing them outside... i'm not saying that it always is... there are always cheaper costs in some shops... depends whether do you know where it is... anyway... if it is to print thru a local printer... in my school it cost 6cents per page.... and to photocopy... it's 6cents per page but it'll go lesse depending on the amount of pages wanting to be photocopied.... so the best way is to get a few friends who want the notes.. print 1 copy out first... then photocopy... share up the printing cost and divide equally among each other.... it usually costs lesser...

if you are printing notes in powerpoint slides... then you should go through the soft copy first... delete some unnecessary parts such as pictures (since they will never show up clear in black and white printing.. unless it's important), repeats of points, the introduction (since it will be covered in the remaining slides), "thank you", and the big heading that usually fills up a slide.... then you can always merge up points if the slides are half empty to save the amount of slides which will affect the amount of pages being printed out... lecturers usually leave a lot of space in between point because if they have too many points jumbled up in one slide... the students may find it confusing.... but for own reference... it does not apply.... besides you can also drop out the fancy designs of the slides to the default... no point looking at pretty slides when they show up black and white... besides.. you can also add in more or your own points with the remaining space....

to save on parking fare for those who are driving... i'm saying this from my point of view... base on my own situation.. may not be applied to all.... parking spaces are available free-of-charge and not to mention free-of-summons in front of my faculty building but its limited... so the early bird always gets the worm... if your class starts before 11a.m. why not leave for school early to get a cost-free and summons-free parking space??? i usually leave my house at 6.30am to avoid jams and get parking space.... by avoiding jams... you can also save petrol cost at the same time... but due to the limited number of parking spaces and there are also workers who also need cost-free and summons-free parking space... those spaces are usually fully occupied by 7.15am.... so adjust your time accordingly...

if your class starts later than 11.30 than it might be weird to go off that early unless you have something else to do in campus... if that's the case... you can forget about cost-free and summons-free parking unless you are damn lucky.... you'll have to park at the parking lot... which for my case charges rm2 for the first 3 hours and rm1.5 each hour after.... if your classes of the day is 6 hours long in total... always remember that you can remove your car parked there for around 3 hours already... pay rm2 and get back up into the parking lot again.... in that case... 6 hours will only cost you rm4... rather than leaving it there for 6 hours and pay rm6.50.... you'll save rm2.5.... that's a lot!!!!

and remember, dont risk parking at place that are bound to get summons when there are police or mbpj around... because it's not worth it... the parking fare that costs less than rm10 and the summons fee that cost rm30 and up.. you do the math...

besides that... never put too much cash in you purse or wallet... it'll give you the urge to spend... dont worry it's normal... when you see that you have a lot of cash in your pocket.. you will not hesitate to spend them off because you'll still have some in the end... for instance i have rm50 in my pocket and i spent rm30 for a meal.. i wouldnt mind at first because i'll have rm20 to spare after all.... but if i only have rm30 in my pocket... i'll be thinking about what is the best way to spend my money on meals instead of just spending them off blindly without further consideration.... it makes sense though....

so i guess that's all for now... i have more ways... but i'll not reveal everything yet... later when i have the mood again...

signing off...

nostalgic...

Currently still doing the referencing and citition for the moral assignment.... it really took a long time as i almost spent the whole afternoon yesterday generating the references.... yala... eggy gave me a hard time with very "brilliant" citations... so now i have to re-do it for her... smart right??!! she always is... (just kidding la...) taking a break off my assignment which i think will take me ages to finish.... i decided to come back up to my blog and stamp a few panda paw prints around first... so that my blog wont look abandoned....

my dad has sold my.... our family's nissan sentra!!!! old version la.... argh!!! i really liked that car... it has been around since the day i was born.... i wonder did i come back home from the hospital in it??? i'm not really sure bout that... but i know it for all my life already... and now it's leaving me!!!! yala.. it's a manual car... but i still like it... and i'm getting better in driving manual cars... and now my house will not have any more manual cars for me to practice!!!! *snifs... it's gonna leave today.... (so fast!!!) luckily i got my last drive today... yep.. i drove it to school and back... oh no... i'm missing it already... although it hasn't leave my house yet... it's still parked at my car porch.... but i really cant bear loosing it... it's like loosing an old friend for many many years... and for this case.. my whole life!!!!

i hate it when i have to get rid of things that have been around me for a very very long time... just the beginning of the year... my mom decided to get rid of my old toys.... a whole cupboard of them!!! in just one day... and of course i managed to save a few of them from the tragic dump behind my mom's back.... and hid them in my room's cupboard.... if only i can save all of them!!!!

don't you feel that getting rid of things that has been present in your life for like ever since you were born is like taking a part of your life away from you.... and it really hurts sometimes.... things that you cant bear to see them go.... they'll be leaving you forever and you'll never find them or see them again anymore.... nostalgia!!!!! and people always say... getting rid of old things is to make way for the new things to come in.... but old things contains memories... which are priceless and you can never get them back anymore..... someone once said, "all things old things are rubbish already... you better throw them away... why are you keeping all these things??? no wonder your room looks like a rubbish dump..."

i'll just have to bear with it now... accept the fact that the car which has been in my car porch for my whole life is leaving me.... forever.... for good.....

assignments~~ need help!!!

Yup... i just hand in or it should be show since the lecturer just took a look at it and gone thru... our moral assignment slides.... the one about "bertatu dan bertindik"... in case you dont know what's that in english... it's tattoo and piercings!!! million thanks or ribuan terima kasih (wow, using english actually gave them around 999000 more thank you-s!!) hehe... to those who have helped me look up for information regarding the christian's point of view... thank you so much!!! to cheryl(especially)... sze ern... ernest... rae... for providing me some info and kar lim for checking it through for errors... in case i mistaken some facts then that's not a very good thing lo.... nanti kena sepak oleh rakan rakan yang beragama kristian.... hehe...

when the lecturer was looking through the slides... she ask us a few points about our answers... and she was asking in BM!!! bahasa Malaysia, man!!!! our bahasa kebangsaan, national language, if you really want me to translate... and yes... that's the time when i realised that my BM was really really rusty.... although i could still keep track in my writing... as i have call my bm back from its vacation from tuhan-knows-where earlier ago so they have settled down properly in my brain and i can write my report using my nearly forgotten bm... not like how i use to write... my standards are dropping... and everybody start asking how the hell did i get an A1 for my bm???? because..... i'm lucky... happy?? but the problem now is not only with my writing... but my speaking as well... i still remember that i can speak quite fluently in front of my malay friends and teachers.... but after stopping for around 3 years or so... minusing maybe a few days when i meet up with my malay friends again... i think i used 0% of malay in my daily conversation... not taking those random malay words into consideration... so i guess i cant really speak malay anymore!!! how to present my assignment in malay next week??!!!!

and now i'm suppose to be starting on my multimedia tools for advertising assignment 2!!! but i dont really have many photos to refer to... so to everybody out there who are reading my blog... do you guys happen to have photos of animals?? i mean real photos taken from the camera because i'm not allowed to browse thru picetures from the net(if not, that will already be done and there'll be no fuss needed)... so i need real photos... taken thru a camera... anybody who happen to have photos of animals... of any kind (or species... insects also included)... please send it to my email.... p3.puppydog@gmail.com..... or maybe you can let me take a picture of your pet animal is also fine with me... either way works as long as i get the photos.. thank you very much!!!

now what else??? oh ya!!! my communication theory assignment.... the question is ok... i understand it... all of my group members do too... but the biggest problem is that we are afraid that our answer is something that is not required from our tutor... and the answer that she requires is not what we have in out report or presentation.... how??!!! i can tell you this... communication theory is a damn ******* complicated, confusing, brain-damaging, nerve-wrecking, freaking hard subject.... we really dont understand what is actually required for the subject... besides critical thinking which is something that i'm not sure what it consist of... i just dont get it!!!!! what is critical thinking??? am i suppose to criticise anything and everything?? but i'm not very good at criticising.... and why must it be so negative??? so now i'm kinda worried about this assignment.... i might even turn out being in "critical" condition lying in the hospital....

p/s: those who have animal photos!!! please do send them to me!!! or allow me to take a picture of your pet animal!!!! thank you very very much!!!

money matters

After reading some of those mails... i started to think... am i that stupid to fall for something like this???? some seem so real!!! they even have websites to refer from... better than all the cititions we have to do for our assignments.... well... nowadays with everything is getting more expensive than it usually was.. and MBPJ being so hardworking issuing summons every now and then.... eveybody will love the extra cash anyway... especially when it is in US dollars and even UK pounds!!!!! whoosh!!!

they will give you some random place names like ouagadougou, burkina faso, africa... if i didnt watch the amazing race... i would never know if such places actually do exist.... but its a really popular place to use for scams i suppose because quite a number of them were addresses in burkina faso, africa....

some of the letters claimed that i have inherited a few millions of US dollars from someone i had never ever heard before.. and that person claims that i'm the nearest person to the deceased.... waaaa..... "lucky"!!!! dont you think that it's really suspicious???? if someone i never knew in my life gave me something... i would also check who is he/she claiming to be??? my some long lost relative or something???? mind you, i have a very big family.. with almost 40 cousins all around me... so why am i chosen instead of them???? why didnt others know about this as well??? i have more than 20 cousins from my mom's side and more than 10 from my dad's side... so how come NONE of them knew anything about it???? hahahahaha.... too bad.. you picked a tricky target... if i'm the only child of the only child(means my parents are only childs too) maybe it may seem a little more convincing then because i have nobody else to refer to....

and others claimed that they have some business deals to offer... giving 40% of their funds.... waaa... such a great big business offer and you are offering it to me... i mean me as a non-business-type student who have no earning power in such.... a great big business deal which involves millions, billions... trillions of US dollars???? who am i to receive such "honour"???? i'm no bill gates, uncle lim's relatives or mr lee kashing's somebody... so why me???

and lastly... there are also lottery strikes.... i remember when the time i was presenting on "datuk gong" (oh gosh i mentioned the name again!!!! that means my face will appear again on the "search results" page for datuk gong!!!!noooo....) i remember saying that people dont win the lottery eventhough after they worshipped datuk gong is because they did not follow the rules of worshipping properly... that is why people dont win the lottery everyday.... and now you are expecting me to believe that i actually won lottery???? without even worshiping datuk gong, tudi gong, guanyin ma, jesus christ, or even allah????? and the lottery winnings involves millions of pounds!!! not pounds of butter or meat.... it's british pounds man!!!! 1 is to around rm6 malaysian ringgit... as far as i remember... i'm not sure about the actual exchange rate.... that's like totally impossible....

sometimes i wonder... what if any of these mails are actually real???? (which is something that will never happen ever ever.... unless i'm dumb enough to fall into it) if i really did get big money from nowhere???? hahaha... then that will be a great waste, wouldnt it???

money matters -part 1-

as i was going through my yahoo mail... there were more than 400 mails!!!! so i deleted those notices from friendster....yahoo blogs.... yahoo clubs... some random mails... etc etc.... but something really amazed me.... i have got like dozens of mails offering me money!!!! and not in indon rupiah or malaysian ringgit, you know.... it's US dollars and uk pounds wey!!!!

here's a few samples of those mails:

sample no.1 (from ryyan000@luckymail.com) <--- i was laughing my head off when i see this address... Good day.My name is Ryan Brandon, an ex-US marineofficer , now working with one of the internationalagencies in Iraq which I will tell you later . I needyour assistance in moving the sum of{ Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars.$4.5m} out of Iraq for investmentsin your country or any other country of your choice .This money is not a stolen fund nor related to moneylaundering or drug money and there is no risk involvedas all loop holes that may lead to any trace have beensealed and made sure that coast is very clear beforecontacting you , my priority is to see that the moneyis well invested and my share kept safely until Icomplete my mission . This is how I got the money , we discovered ahuge sum of money which was well concealed in barrelswith piles of weapons and ammunitions at a locationnear one of Saddam’s old palaces during one of ourrescue operations . It was agreed by all partiespresent that the money be shared amongst us, this wasquite an illegal thing to do, but I tell you what ? nocompensation can make up for the risks we have takenwith our lives in this hell of a hole. The abovefigure was given to me as my share, and to concealthis kind of money became a problem for me, so withthe help of a British contact working here and hisoffice enjoys some immunity, I was able to get thepackage out to a safe location entirely out of troublespot. He does not know the real contents of thepackage, and believes that it belongs to anAsian/American who died in an air raid, and beforegiving up, trusted me to hand over the package to hisbusiness associate. I have now found a secured way of getting thepackage out to a safer country for you to pick it up,and will discuss this with you when I am sure that youare willing to assist me. One passionate appeal I willmake to you is not to discuss this matter with a thirdparty, should you have reasons to reject this offer, please destroy this mail as any leakage of thisinformation will be too bad for us. I do not know howlong we will remain here, I have survived threesuicide bomb attacks by the special grace of God, thisand other reasons I will mention later has prompted meto reach out for help, I honestly want this matter tobe resolved immediately. Please contact me as soon as possible.
Regards.
Ryan Brandon.

From The Desk Of Mr Hansin Omar. The Head Of File Department,African Development Bank (A.D.B).Ouagadougou Burkina-Faso West Africa.PLANE CRASH WEB SITE...http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/859479.stm.
("REMITTANCE OF $15 MILLION U.S.A DOLLARS) (CONFIDENTIAL IS THE CASE")
Compliments Of The Season,Forgive my indignation if this message comes to you as a surprise and may offend your personality for contacting you without your prior consent and writing through this channel.I got your contact from the proffesional data base found in the internet Yahoo tourist search. When i was searching for a foreign reliable partner.I assured of your capability and reliability to champion this business opportunity. After series of prayers/fasting.i was divinely directed to contact you among other names found in the data base Yahoo tourist search.I believe that God has a way of helping who is in need. I am (Hansin Omar),the Head of file Department in African development bank (ADB). In my department we discovered an abandoned sum of $15 million U.S.A dollars ( fifteen million U.S.A dollars) . In an account that belongs to one of our foreign customer who died along with his entire family in (Monday 31st July 2000) in a plane crash.

Since we got information about his death, we have been expecting his next of kin to come over and claim his money because we cannot release it unless somebody applies for it as next of kin or relation to the deceased as indicated in our banking guidelines, but unfortunately we learnt that all his supposed next of kin or relation died along side with him at the plane crash leaving nobody behind for the claim.

It is therefore upon this discovery that I and one official in my department now decided to make this business proposal to you and release the money to you as the next of kin or relation to the deceased for safety and subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it and we don't want this money to go into the bank treasury as unclaimed bill.

The Banking law and guideline here stipulates that if such money remained unclaimed after seven years, the money will be transferred into the Bank treasury as unclaimed fund. The request of foreigner as next of kin in this business is occasioned by the fact that the customer was a foreigner, and a Burkinabe cannot stand as next of kin to a foreigner. We agree that 40% of this money will be for you as foreign partner, in respect to the provision of a foreign account, and 60% would be for me and my woman colleague.

That means ($6 million) six million dollars for you,and ($9 million) nine million dollars for me and my partner. There after i will visit your country for disbursement according to the percentages indicated. Therefore to enable the immediate transfer of this fund to you as arranged, you must apply first to the bank as relations or next of kin of the deceased indicating your bank name, your bank account number, your private telephone and fax number for easy and effective communication and location where the money will be remitted.

Upon receipt of your reply, I will send to you by fax or email the text of the application I will not fail to bring to your notice that this transaction is risk free and that you should not entertain any atom of fear as all required arrangements have been made for the transfer.

Your's faithfully,

HANSIN OMAR. (phone +226 76439020.)

MR.MAKATA ALIU SUPERVISORY MANAGER, UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA(UBA). OUAGADOUGOU BURKINA-FASO. Dear Friend, (TOP SECRET) I am Makata Aliu, the supervisory manager at the United Bank for Africa(UBA) Ouagadougou,Burkina Faso,West Africa. With due respect and regard. I have decided to contact you on a business transaction that will be very beneficial to both of us at the end of the transaction . During our investigation and auditing in this bank, my department came across a very huge sum of money belonging to a deceased person who died on July 31st 20003 in a plane crash and the fund has been dormant in his account with this Bank without any claim of the fund in our custody either from his family or relation before our discovery to this development. The said amount was U.S $17.5M (Seventeen million five hundred United States dollars). As it may interest you to know, I got your impressive information and email address through the International web directory of Burkina Faso chamber of commerce on foreign business relations here in Ouagadougou Burkina-faso. Meanwhile all the whole arrangement to put claim over this fund as the bonafide next of kin to the deceased,to get the required approval and transfer this money to a foreign account has been put in place and directives and needed information will be relayed to you as soon as you indicate your interest and willingness to assist us and also benefit your self to this great business opportunity. In fact I could have done this deal alone but because of my position in this country as a civil servant(A Banker),we are not allowed to operate a foreign account and would eventually raise an eye brow on my side during the time of transfer because I work in this bank. This is the actual reason why it will require a second party or fellow who will forward claims as the next of kin with affidavit of trust of oath to the Bank and also present a foreign account where he will need the money to be re-transferred into on his request as it may be after due verification and clarification by the correspondent branch of the bank where the whole money will be remitted from to your own designation bank account. I will not fail to inform you that this transaction is 100% risk free. On smooth conclusion of this transaction, you will be entitled to 30% of the total sum as gratification, while 5% will be set aside to take care of expenses that may arise during the time of transfer and also telephone bills, while 65% will be for me. Please, you have been adviced to keep "top secret" as I am still in service and intend to retire from service after we conclude this deal with you. I will be monitoring the whole situation here in this bank until you confirm the money in your account and ask me to come down to your country for subsequent sharing of the fund according to percentages previously indicated and further investment, either in your country or any country you advice us to invest in. All other necessary vital information will be sent to you when I hear from you. I look forward to receive your email as the urgency implies. Yours faithfully, MR Makata Aliu.

There are actually more of those in my mailbox's trashcan.... since i mentioned before that there were around a dozen so i copied a dozen for reference... anyway... they are all almost the same... and i'm lazy of copying and pasting.... you guys got the story anyway...
