Presents~~

As I have mentioned, my birthday this year is full of celebrations... My first present came 10 days after my birthday... from my team mates from work.. we had a small team event which consists of Nandos for lunch and a game of Pictionary... And of course... My present...

The top of my present.. I actually opened it before I took photo because I only took photos after the event.. the present was give during the event and I was required to open it.. Oh, I never mentioned that I don't like ripping wrappers?? I took a good few minutes to reveal what was my present till one of my team mates said, my next present will be in a box where I will just have to open it instead of unwrapping... I just don't know why, I couldn't stand tearing up the wrapping paper... it's just.. not fun... and also, to create suspense among others who are watching.. hahahaha...

My birthday card that was stuck on top of my present, the one with a big yellow bow and birthday wishes from all my team mates...

Want to know what is my present???

It's a pin sculpture~~~ If you are trying to hide your clueless expression, don't worry.. You don't have to do that coz yours truly has been there and done that... until my team mates demonstrated the way of playing with it.. it's some artsy stuff that you can play with.. very unique..

That's the shape of my stapler you are looking at... I suppose it has the most interesting shape among my stationary.. I will just have to put my stapler at the bottom of it and turn it over.. the pixel-like thingies are actually nail-like thingies.. I forgot to take a side view photo of this.. Sorry, If you really want to know what is this, please leave a comment and I will include photos of whatever dimension this thing has.. Oh well, if you have no interest to know, you may also leave comments.. Thank you very much...

Just a week ago, I came across felt wool art after watching a tutorial video from bubzbeauty

Aren't they cute!! And and and, making it looks so simple from here... How could I not like this??? So I started searching on google where can I get these felt wool.. and I found out Daiso has them!! Yeah for Daiso!! These could be my birthday present for myself!! Perfect!!!! But, I only manage to get my hands on them yesterday... coz I didn't have time to go shopping with classes and trainings and of course, laziness...

I bought the blue elephant one in the middle.. the rest are still with chingu as I asked her to buy them for me when she went to Pyramid on Friday and lucky I did because there weren't much choices in Daiso, IOI... It's possible that they haven't stock them yet... oh well...

I couldn't wait to start when I bought it back.. That's my korean homework underneath, just in case you are wondering.. and yes, I neglected my homework for this...

In progress, I made the head, ears and trunk..

Here's the end product.. I stayed up until 2am to complete this...

It's not as cute as the one on the package but, it's my first time..

Then, I realised the trunk is a tad big for the elephant.. as I made the head too small.. my mistake.. miscalculation due to the inexperienced... So i tried fixing it and shrink the trunk a little.. It looks a bit better now.. :)

I should have bought another one so that I could improvise... Now, this is the first time I am actually anticipating Monday because I could get the rest from chinguuuu...

Signing off waiting for Monday to come~~

Happy Birthday to Me

If i were to live  for 75 years, I have passed a third of my life... This year, there were no presents but tons of heart warming celebrations.. The collage on top is from HP, she no longer maintains her blog but I thought I would just link it here, might as well... I'll write further on the happenings in the collage later..

I shall start with Saturday, when I head straight to IOI mall after training for a K session with friends from work..
Although I don't have an amazingly good voice to sing with but in a confined space and minimal audience, it will do.. Yay!!

Then, hp booked me for lunch the next day... after class, straight to bongga, solaris...
Typical lunch, so no photos or anything.. but it was super filling!!!
Then, they decided to get me some cakes.. so next destination, dreamz cafe... owned by hp's primary mate..

It's a really cute cafe!!
I did not take a lot of photos but you could just go google Dreamz cafe

There were many owl decos.. really really cute...

Our table

That's brown sugar on the left...

Check out this cute teapot

It looks like an Easter Egg... but look closely..

It actually detaches from the bottom part and it's a tea cup..

Here are my cakes!!

the one in front is dark chocolate layer and the one at the back is matcha and chocolate checkered cake... They are quite expensive.. Secret Recipe range but they taste good...

Thanks gurls, for making my life warm and fuzzy... friends for more than 10 years and still on-going...

Oh, and I got a small surprise this morning too...

My friend from work gave me a slice of cake to start of my birthday~~

I guess the age must be catching up, I am now very into touching and heart warming moments...

Before the day ends...

BIRTHdays

March is here... My birthday month.. and coincidentally... IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
I'm serious.. it's my birthday according to the chinese calendar... so i am a year older then i am suppose to be this year now and i will be back on my actual age when 11th comes...

Anyway... I have nothing much to update about.. so i guess i'll just share a show that I am watching now~~

Switch at Birth (Since I was talking about birthdays.. might as well...)

Although it runs on a kinda corny plot of 2 girls switched at birth and then they found out then 2 families try to live together as one big happy family...

Well, it's a little more than that which makes me like it.. I like the part where a couple of the casts are deaf and they have to sign throughout their parts.. it makes sure people who are watching pays attention.. like me, i sometimes multitask as i might not be watching the tv, maybe more of listening... but when the scenes where the deaf are "talking to each other", it will go quiet as they are signing with subtitles.. so you can't really play candy crush while watching this... I was playing a while ago and missed a part when they were signing at each other... i decided to just waste my life and watch...

a small surprise in the show was

Lucas Grabeel... Looks familiar?? he played Ryan Evans in High School Musical.. Sharpay's twin brother.. I think he looks younger here..

Go watch if you are interested.. despite the switch at birth part, the storyline is really interesting... it's now airing on 8TV, Tuesdays 9.30pm...

Pretty heart-warming story... Loving it, still...
