there goes the 3rd week of my internship...
this week i got to deal with the talents when they show up at the office for wardrobe fitting... and i also got to call them up to confirm their availability for the proposed shooting date... they all sound very kind and nice... not as demanding as i imagined... bombarding me with all sorts of questions that i dont know how to answer and gets pissed off when i cannot answer them.. instead they just laugh and say... "okay, you get back to me when you get to know about that... thanks..."

the hardest part when it comes to calling talents is when you are rejecting them... since after proposing to clients.. they will only be choosing 1 when you have already called a dozen to check their availability and promised to call back and confirm... whatever that is... whether accept or reject... this week.. i have to reject around 10 (i think) VO talents that i have called previously to confirm their availability... i really dont have the heart to do that.. so i got kevin to do it for me... hehehehe.... thanks yo!! its really sad when such a nice voice is rejected... they all sound really nice.. and must be very disappointed when they receive rejection... sigh~~~~
hmmm.... i'll have to get used to that... because there are more to reject in the future... i really hope that the clients could shortlist them early and just accept which i managed to get hold first... instead of calling... confirming... then rejecting.. which is a waste of time, hope and effort....
i'm starting to enjoy dealing with talents now... and i'm getting used to calls... since i dont have to rest for like 10 minutes after every call...
besides that.... i just have to say.... VOs... they earn a lot!!!!!!
