Social media with age pressure

As you can see, this age pressure thingy has really got into me until I have to write another blog post on it...Basically, with the birth and amazing development of social media, the tension is obviously building... Some people even live two lives, one for social media and their real lives...

At my age, my social media timeline is practically filled with weddings (getting lesser now, most of the "friends" are married), babies and travel.. So, unconsciously.. I will start comparing myself to them...
5 years ago, I was comparing the relationship and marriage part where I will be thinking, why I am not seeing anybody? IS there anything wrong with me? Will I grow old alone? Am I not pretty enough?? Not attractive enough? This was a time where I was desperate for a relationship, being very very self-conscious about myself. But, being me, I was yearning for a romantic relationship but I don't think I did anything about it besides just starting to observe the boys around me and searching for boyfriend material.. apart from that, I did not expand my social circle nor did I open myself up to know people... So, the desperation stayed until it slowly faded off a while later...
3 years ago, I was self-conscious about my career... People who graduated with me are getting promotions, earning a heck lot of money traveling to various places that have been a dream to me... Or, there were people running their own business for a few years and it was finally taking off.. they are now enjoying the fruit of their hard work.. while here I am sitting in the office in my cubicle, replying Facebook comments which technically is not my job because at times there are questions that will be better to be answered by a customer service but I had to do it because I know the language.. I once said I will be working on a paycheque forever.. I don't like risks, I don't want to pump in funds worrying that I might lose them.. THEN I started thinking... is this right? Do I want to rely on a paycheque forever? Do I not want something I could call my own?? If I am on a paycheque, I just own the work but not the job... People say you can claim ownership of the work you have done for the company, I agree... but from my point of view, people will recognise it from the company's point of view and unless you are the face of the company, the credit will never reach you.. So... Do I want to change???
Then, last year, I saw another trend on social media... people showing off their keys to their property... which then again, triggered me... AGAIN... Owning a house has always been my dream, I know it may not be necessary for some but I really want to own a house and now the people around my age or within my generation are achieving that while I have no clue where to start... I don't even have the capacity to do it and that got me pretty stressed out...

I know that now people are constantly taking breaks off social media saying that's it's toxic and causing depression and stuff... but social media has been part of our lives already... some people can live without it but most people can't so what should you do?? Since I couldn't put off social media, I will have to deal with it... I will feel competitive and left out when I see people achieving what I dream to achieve but as years pass, I come to realise, we are all different... They may have achieved this but there are still things that they are striving to accomplish... Things that I have them done and dealt with... We never know... The social media is where people present the best, the part they want people to know them for, things that they are proud of so just look at it and don't think too much about it... Just tell yourself, I will get there, maybe later but I will get there... Treat it as a motivation and you can even treat it as a reference!! Oh, she bought a house, it's an open kitchen, that doesn't seem like a good idea, i need to get a hood, I guess I should note this down when I am looking at houses later... Or something like, Wow! this guy has a business! and he has some accounting issues, remind me to be organised with my accounts if I ever own a business... Social media is actually good depending on the way you view it...

So... I agree it does cause pressure... But we will have to be smart enough to turn the pressure into our advantage...

That's all I have to say.. This blog was in the draft for years!!! and it's finally out!!

Age Pressure

Oh wow, congratulations! 2 posts in 2 weeks, I should definitely give myself some credit as I know just like old times, this might be my last blog of the year. Anyways, I came across a video about age pressure by Jenn Im, if you are interested, here's the video:

I have never heard of age pressure ever before but after watching this video, I couldn't help agree that maybe because of the society, we have like certain "targets" to achieve at a certain age and will kinda feel guilty or left out if we don't..

I have certainly set several typical targets for myself which I guess not many of them were fulfilled because I made them without knowing the reality how to get it fulfilled. It seems to me like, when the time comes, a solution will just miraculously fall down from the sky and everything will be alright. NOT! and to be frank, I kinda forgot what were the targets I have made for myself besides getting wheels and a roof.

Let's not talk about life before work because we know what we have to do at  those ages, age 12, pass UPSR, age 17 pass SPM, age 18 start college or university, age 20s graduate.. I used to have some what to achieve before i reach 30 list but i guess, i was too stressed out, i don't remember what are those anymore..

Anyway, as mentioned a the video, in some places, women are considered "expired" if they don't get married by 30. I guess because women have to give birth so maybe it's our internal organs that are expiring?? If that's not the reason, then this whole married by 30 thing is just bull.. Why is there an age limit to get married? Especially Asians, when you reach a certain age, having a significant one becomes the hot topic of the century.. You have lived more than 20 years working hard to be who you are but to other people, all that matters is whether do you have a significant one and when are you planning to settle down... I am not going to lie, regardless whether I have a significant other or not, I feel super irritated when people asked me when do i plan to settle down. To make things worse, whenever I say i have a lot of plans but settling down will not happen in the near future, i get responses like, "are you aware that you are getting older?", "what are you waiting for?", "why aren't you planning on settling down, you are 30 already?"....... "SO?" unless you are worried about me having trouble conceiving when I get older, other than that, why do you even care?? I do have a lot of plans for my future..

Speaking of plans.. I may not be affected by the age pressure for relationships.... or maybe I am since i am writing this.. anyway, reaching a certain age does make you question your direction in life.. so I have to admit, i do face the age pressure when it comes to career. When I started working, i did vow to be an employee forever, since i'm not a risk taker nor do i have a brain for business so being an employee promises a fixed monthly salary and benefits that i might or might not get with my own "business".. But now, i reconsidered my decision.. Working isn't fun,, i can't say for everybody but it has lost its fun for me.. I am having second thoughts about what i vowed to be several years ago. What am i supposed to do now? Should I start a business?? but i don't know how.. I have been toying around with some plans and never actually executed any because of fear.. fear of failing.. people said to me, if i don't find what i'm doing fun, why am i still there? life is short, too short for people to just bear with it.. but what about life? my bills aren't gonna settle themselves, the roof i dream of aren't gonna build itself.. these need chips, and chips are what i get for getting up at 6.30am every weekday, thumb print myself in and out. And, you see it right, i am not a risk taker.. i can't just let go my supply of chips just because it's not fun anymore, i need a plan.. a plan to find the same amount or more chips elsewhere.. but i am still swimming blindly.. unsure if i'm heading the right direction or am i just wandering around the sea of chances not knowing what to grab hold of.. I see friends who started out from the same starting line has now seem to have done a few laps and are on track with what they are doing.. Oh well, that's the downside of social media, everyone seems to be so happy, so fulfilled, leading such meaningful lives while people who are watching or reading it feel like failures.. well, i have to admit this too, i am affected by social media.. which i will write another blog post someday about this.

Anyway.. at this age, there are so much that should have been done in the typical world that haven't been done and it stressed me out.. BUT, some people would say... you live your own life so you get to control what come first and what to do at which time of your life.. true though.. i am still trying to fit the bits and pieces together to hopefully form a whole for my future career whatever it may be.. at least that's what i think i should be doing at this point of time..

I hope that nobody gets affected by the age pressure like I am but if you are, no worries, you are not alone, you may leave a comment and we can share our stress and maybe help each other out..

10 years! How long has it been?

I just missed the 10th year of my blog's existence!! It's actually 2 weeks ago, so now, here I am making up for the long absence..

I started this blog while I was in uni still figuring out myself and the only thing I knew I can do then was writing.. and I actually had the idea that if I start practising my writing and MAYBE earn something out of it, I might be able to do better things in the future (which means now..)

Then, my blog was mainly about a student's rants and blabs about life.. thinking that the world is just the campus and imagining what it would be like on the outside of it, aka reality.. Browsed through some of my older posts and realised.. I was kind of an attention seeker.. Although I would have hated to admit it.. publishing my life online for others to see is my way of gaining attention.. maybe I thought that people would see my writing but.. Ok, fine.. i would love the idea of having readers longing to know what is happening with my life and eagerly wait for the next blog post..

However and unfortunately, it did not happen. I was too lazy to maintain and would just post as I like.. then it became lesser and lesser as years passed.. and then, i became conscious of what I was sharing.. and suddenly have this weird thing of not wanting people I know to read about my life but I would prefer random readers who just happen to stumble upon my blog and found it interesting.. Which is why i find the idea of making my blog private a bit silly because this means I would have to invite people I know to read.. how else would i get readers? So, I kept my blog public but I hardly mention that I have one.. so those who just happen to find my blog and coincidentally knew me, would all be a coincidence.. How about my old readers who were mostly my friends?? Oh well, the typical attention span of a human being is pretty short.. blogging became out of trend and most my friends who used  to blog have now abandoned their blog, forgetting that it even existed.. So, how would they remember my blog when they have forgotten their own??

But, I am still struggling to update.. sometimes I would just log in and click around without posting anything.. Because... I don't know what to write about.. I need something happening in life to get the attention but my life is kinda dull.. and, picture blogs get the attention but I am not much of a picture person.. I don't really like seeing my face in photos so I hardly take any.. but now, with the wonderful invention of the smartphone with a pretty cool camera function with editing and stuff, I photograph more of my life, without my face in it.. but still, not interesting enough or I am just plain lazy to string up sentences to make it into a post..

I want to keep this blog alive.. which explains the once in a while update.. I will try to make it another 10 years.. Hopefully, you who I do not know, will still be reading..

Thank you

[P]erhaps I should...

I am very easily inspired and impressed by indie filmmakers, how the strive about to pursue their dreams and how they work pass criticisms, rejections and all sorts of hurdles to achieve what they have got today... I really enjoyed watching self-made videos on youtube just to be reminded that I once (and secretly still am) dream of producing videos and showing them to people who are interested from all over the world...

However, no matter how inspired I was... I still could not find the courage to step out and try to make it happen.. I fear that it is not a secured career, there will not be a stable income and I need to give up a whole lot of securities that I currently possess in order to get going... I have absolutely no courage of doing that.. That's just what separating me and my dreams.. I could not let go the luxury of a steady income..

Watching videos like this always stabs me hard... Why can't I just be who I want to be, for once, not care about the circumstances and the consequences...

Oh well... I am not proud of it but I still don't have the guts to follow what I want in life.. I love writing stories, I love joining video productions, I love early call times and late wraps that makes a great video where everybody would cheer for... the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction I always craved.. spending days in all sort of environments, rain or shine just to get a 5 minute video done... that's the life I prepared myself for...

But, I guess... it pays to be gutless.. like me... giving up a steady income is just so hard... especially after knowing the real situation surrounding me... It makes it even harder to just let go and just go... I have such a strong need of security that even the thought of letting go just suffocates me...

So here I am... watching videos and mentally stabbing myself everytime I see people leading the life I have always dream of...

Just a word of advise, to anybody who is reading this... if you dont step out and start walking into the path of your dreams, you will most probably end up like me, sitting in front of a PC with the luxury of a paid day job writing out your regrets just like this...

p/s: Old thinkings die hard, even harder when you need them to

I hope you could live your dream although I couldn't!!

[I]t's mid July now and I have nothing to update about so I suppose I could do a tag :)

Ah yes.... the fact that I have blogged 4 posts last month has left me so pleased with myself that I forgot it is now July and I am suppose to blog another 3 posts for the month... anyway, there is something I would like to blog about but I am still hanging around for the results.. will blog about it as long as I know the outcome.. the wait is kinda killing me though...

Oh well, I have to blog about something... so I decided to do a tag.. and I had never hide the fact that I am a Harry Potter fan, so behold, the Harry Potter tag~~~

1) Favorite book - I initially liked Prisoner of Azkaban because that was the first book I knew from the series.. a friend was reading the chinese version of it in school so i flipped it, got interested and decided to get the original english version... I still love Prisoner of Azkaban a lot but now I am a bit torn between this and Goblet of Fire after I started writing the fanfiction.. OK, I still love Prisoner of Azkaban...

2) Favorite movie - Er... Chamber of Secrets, I guess.. that was the only movie that I have watched in the cinema.. I watched the rest on DVD... The last one was good too, Deathly Hallows part 2 but too many people died so I guess I shall stick to Chamber of  Secrets... I actually like Goblet of Fire too, what's with me and GoF?? I kinda liked GoF because there were a lot of new characters finally appearing.. Fleur, Viktor, Cedric(Robert Pattinson before he was Edward), Cho, Barty Crouch Jr, Lord Voldemort(the nose-less version), Madame Maxine, Karkaroff.... but, I better stick to Chamber of Secrets...

3) Least favorite book - Order of Phoenix... because Harry is angry all the time and Sirius had to die..

4) Least favorite movie - Erm.... Half Blood Prince... I actually did not not like any of the movies but this was my least favourite one...

5) Parts of the books/movies that made you cry - Dobby's death...

6) Twilight vs. Harry Potter... - Er... I did not follow the Twilight Saga but I prefer Robert Pattinson a wizard than a vampire... If that's what the question meant...

7) If you could hook up with any HP character who would it be? - If it's based on the movies, it'll be Cormac Mclaggen since the movie did not show too much of his self centred-ness..

8) Favorite character - you know you are too tied up with your fanfic with your fictional character when it becomes your favourite character.. Anyway, if I really have to choose... I actually like Cedric Diggory.. not as in the Robert Pattinson's Cedric Diggory but the book's Cedric Diggory... He was the ultimate perfect guy, good looks, great personality, a gentleman, very noble and a talented wizard else how would he be selected for the Triwizard Cup??... how could you not like him?? Besides the fact that he died young.. huuuu tragic~~

9) What would your Patronus be? - despite my fear towards those flying-feathered species.. I actually thought it would be a Falcon..

10) If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand which one would you choose? - Invisibility Cloak.. I don't need to bring anyone back from the dead, nor I need to win battles.. but I always wanted to be able to turn invisible...

11) Are you upset with any parts left out in the films? - Not really.. because whatever that was left out I could easily picture it in my mind.. They did take out a lot from the books so that the movie will not overrun but I am fine with it.. *added at a later time* I was actually looking forward to the scene where Dudley told Harry that he does not think that Harry is a waste of space... A heart warming scene indeed, i think it was filmed but not included in the movie... I wonder why I forgot about this when I was writing this.. hoho...

12) What House would you be in? - Ravenclaw! *Eagle shrieks

13) Favorite subject at Hogwarts. - Charms

14) Favorite professor. - Professor Flitwick

15) IF you could meet any member of the cast who would it be? - Only one??? I could not decide between Tom Felton or Katie Leung... or Freddie Stroma... If, I really could meet one.. I would like to meet Katie Leung...

16) If you could do one spell in real life what would it be? - the extension charm!!! So that my cupboards will not run out of space!

17) Have you played any of the video games? - Unfortunately, no.. Unless you count Pottermore..

18) IF you were on the Quiddich team which position would you play? - Beater... I think I am better at hitting bludgers than chasing, passing and blocking the quaffle or seeking the snitch..

19) Were you happy with the ending? - Too many people died.. but they somehow have to, to keep the story moving... I am pretty happy with the ending...

20) How much does Harry Potter mean to you? - I spent like, years of my life creating a fanfiction base on it.. It does mean a lot... I am still saving to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando and the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London...

Okay, that's the end of the tag...

[D]reams

This a phrase that I think most people will always say, "If only I am rich...."
Oh well, this is something that I have been saying all the time when i see something I like or want... and people will just give me a dream-on look that totally bursts the bubble of my fantasies...

And then, i came across this site which seems like a total dream to me... as people who have been reading this blog would have known that I love Harry Potter and have always dream of going to Hogwarts.. Which Harry Potter fan is not waiting for their Hogwarts acceptance letter to go to Hogwarts??? Poor mail service of various countries, they have been framed countless times for losing Hogwarts' letters.. when they obviously did not... or did they??? Hmmmmmmm....

Anyway, it is pretty obvious that I don't have $2699 (i assume it's US dollars) to spare... or any extra cash for a flight in to London... from 27 October until 2 November...

It will be so cool to get myself into London and kinda live an English life for like a week or so... The thing I always loved about travelling is I could walk on a foreign street and try to act as though I am not a tourist and blend into the crowd, whereas I am actually going to tourist spots for sight-seeing... so much for blending into the community...

Oh well... I guess I could write out the itinerary as though I joined the trip... just for self amusement... so please bear with me...

So.... if I were to join to the tour.. I will be boarding a flight to London...

London is still in my 10 places to go before I die list... At least I could go see the Tower Bridge that is not falling down...
.........
.........
........
fine, that's lame...

However, there will be a welcome dinner to start the journey... I sure hope it will be like the Welcome Feast during the start of semester in Hogwarts, where you get to see the Sorting~~ Maybe the participants could be sorted into their respective houses... Ravenclaw all the way!!!

The next day, the participants will get to visit the London Film Museum.... I wiki-ed it, it features the original props, costumes and the sets of film... I could spend hours here... I am starting to love film museums since i visited the Harry Potter exhibition last year... and I must splurge on an audio guide.. a museum visit will never be complete without a tour guide or an audio guide because looking at exhibits without knowing the background of it feels like spaghetti without the sauce.. So, I must chase away the cheapskate in me and get an audio guide... it will be worth it~~

Then, there will be a panoramic tour of London in search of Harry Potter film locations.. The hunt really sounds fun.. we will be in an air conditioned coach.. if the coach is something like the Knight Bus, the whole journey will be even more memorable~~ (minus the sudden brakes and turnings.. the passengers might puke their lunch)

Not forgetting, the iconic Platform nine and three quarters at the King's Cross Station... The entrance to the magic..

Day 3, we get to visit Warner Bros. Studio Tour of The Making of Harry Potter.. This is going to be the best experience a Potterhead could get because you get to see behind-the-scenes, experience the sets and exhibits of the film.. I think there's Butterbeer!!!! Just thinking of this really excites me, there'll be sets like the the Gryffindor boy's dormitory, Hagrid's hut, Umbridge's office, the Great Hall... these are the sets I saw during the Harry Potter exhibition in Singapore last year.. I guess it would be somewhat the same but bigger and a lot more exciting with interactive exhibits to play with.. This is gonna be a hell of an experience!!!

Christ Church College is the Great Hall set... Imagine the Halloween Feast or Christmas during the Yule Ball... I think its interiors were also used as the interiors at Hogwarts besides the Great Hall.. it will be like stepping into Hogwarts..

The Bodleian Library... This looks a bit like Gringotts.. Hang on.. google-ing.. Oops.. my bad... it was the  Hogwarts library...the exterior does resemble Gringotts though...

We also get to visit New College that was the set of the courtyard, there's a huge tree there, if i remember correctly, it was the place Harry told Cedric about the dragons during the Triwizard Tournament... and a corridor...if you could recall in Goblet of Fire, the students gathered there to see the arrival of the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang..

Day 4, off to Lumley castle.. i think this is the set of Hogwarts.. a really magnificent castle.. it overlooks the River Wear and Durham County Cricket Ground which I assume is the Lake and the Quidditch pitch in the movie.. I think~~ besides, we get to stay here!!! staying in the castle is like staying in Hogwarts... I wonder if the rooms will be like dormitories with common rooms.. if they are, that will be superbly perfect!!!

Day 5... we get to take a vintage steam train, the Hogwarts-Express alike passing by routes used in the mvie for the Hogwarts Express... and the Goathland station, I assume, will be Hogsmeade station..
The journey ends n Whitby(Oh, one of my colleague's kampung!!) Besides, the Whitby Museum has the Hands of Glory that Draco used in Half-blood Prince...

We get to celebrate Halloween on that day too!! If only this could be done in one of the Great Hall sets.. that will be so much fun!!!

Day 6... the Durham Cathedral... according to lexicon, it was the Transfiguration classroom, and several sets seen in Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets.. check out lexicon
walking around the cathedral give you the feeling of walking on the Hogwarts grounds, making you feel like a real student...

Day7 is when all the magic ends.... breakfast and back to London..

I want to repeat that I did not participate in the tour.. I was just writing this for self amusement because I really wanted to go~~

In the meantime... I'll just continue my journey as Janet Hayden....

So that's all for my dream travel... now it's time for a real dream.. off to sleep I go..

Nostalgic moments

I always have this kinda moment where I call it the nostalgic moments where the things that i see happens to trigger memories of the previous times of my life...
Watching this TVC, and no.. I am not really much of a football fan, although i do know some of the highlights thanks to my brother... this TVC brings back old memories of my beloved video tape recorder.. Seeing the uncle traveling from one kampung to another trying to find a part for his video tape recorder really jolts me, reminding me how much i miss my faithful old video tape recorder... If only i can find this uncle, and hopefully he does know about tape recorders and try to fix mine.. I hope~~

Pre-CNY... a new resolution...

It's the eve of Chinese New Year.... I am suppose to stay up as late as I can for the safe of long life for my parents.. Just finish watching I love HK on TV, despite how some people say their standard of shows have dropped.. I still love TVB... and also it was my main channel in learning Cantonese... Watching TVB dramas trained me into listening and thinking in cantonese... and of course it did inspire me to become a scriptwriter.. I think that is why people (who have known and read some of my storylines and plots) say that my ideas are too TVB-ish... not out of the box... whatever lah~~~

This is a tip for those who are learning languages... watching tv is definitely a great way to practise when you have nobody to practise with you at home... This is how I learn cantonese and "got inspired" to be a scriptwriter... I watch the series then i would imagine an additional character into the story and start drafting the dialogues, storyline of that particular character I have "created" and in order to "bring it to life", I'll have to speak out the dialogues to see if it fits the "real thing" or not... the "Real thing" as in the drama =D...

Speaking about languages, I have a confession to make, I have been learning Korean on and off since 2008.. it's on and off so the "frequency" is also on and off... as in.. i remember as i learn, and forget as i stop.. since Malaysian terrestrial channels do not air korean series un-dubbed, ok, they do now but it's in the afternoon.. Don't have to work meh?? So obviously I'm not categorised as their target audience... Sigh~~ So I can't really learn and practise through drama series... which is why I haven;t been improving although I have been attending classes on a weekly basis for almost 1 year already..

Ok, I haven't been putting the effort I was suppose to anyway... and I do feel bad about it... Doing my homework last minute, not revising the grammer and  vocabs that I have learnt, which is why I keep forgetting and make mistakes when I'm doing past year papers... Double SIgH~~

My teacher wants me to take Topik this year... It's a korean effieciency something examination where you'll get a certificate to proof that you know, understand, read and write Korean... and it also qualifies you to be a translator.. somewhat qualifies.. hehehehe... I'm more interested in the extra income.. =D

Since it is Chinese New Year.. and it's almost 12am.. I'll make another resolution... I will be putting effort in learning Korean.. not doing my homework last minute and doing revision constantly.. I sure hope I could stick to that.. As you know, I'm not a studious person... so doing revision is so NOT ME... but I am doing it for the sake of mastering the language...
For your information, I did not learn Korean for the sake of K-pop like most of the people out there... I learn for the sake of knowing another language... the main "push" factor is when my ex-neighbour moved in.. he's a korean with a gang of friends, employees, workers.. they speak korean all the time.. the urge of learning is because I would really want to speak to them in korean... but too bad, when I started learning, they moved out... =C

Anyway, my CNY resolution is to master korean and pass my Topik, hopefully with flying colours!!

alrightey, signing off~~ 새해 좋하합니다! 안녕히게세요!! ( I just have to show off... =P)

CNY (change of resolutions)

Happy Chinese New Year!!! It's the Eighth Day of the festival, everybody is still well and running...
My CNY celebrations are similar to the previous years... relative visiting here and there... off the Johor... more visiting... watch TV... eat.. and that's almost it... Well, what do you expect?? CNY is a celebration when relatives, friends and family get together ain't it??

Speaking about TV... The thing i love most about CNY, besides the reunion-get-together part is the TV programs.. When my VCR was still working, I'll usually be recording a whole lot of them so that i can watch them over and over again during the year... But now, it's not working.. and I couldn't stand the faces of the Sony people when I send it for repair.. Honestly, what is wrong with wanting a VCR to get fixed?? It's old fashion, yes.. I know, so what?? People in the advance countries like US and Japan still uses those you know... It's very useful if you ask me...

Back to my title.. I have been thinking and I guess I'm having too much in my mind and I'm going nowhere with any of that.. yet... (I have not started my korean classes just yet)
I've always wanted to go overseas and stay there for a while not really for travelling purposes but to live a in a different place and lead a different life from the one back at home... I'm not too confident that I will be able to get a job overseas... So my next best thing is to study.. although I don't really fancy studying but I dont mind if I had the chance to..

So, one of my New year resolution is to go to Singapore this year.. but I guess i'll have to cancel that and start saving for something bigger tomorrow.. maybe celebrate my birthday at a different place.. other than home.. a different state or maybe a different country... It's the year of the dragon next year.. I have gone through 2 full cycles of the chinese zodiac years in my life.. and that's something special that's worth a celebration.. besides, I need some excitement to stop me from feeling old as I'm aging all the way and i'm getting really pessimistic about that.. something like that may be able to cheer me up... my dull life is leaving me realising that i have not done much in my life.. somehow wasting my years with nothing much to remember..

should I go travel, backpack alone?? that is really exciting... but i'm kinda scared about that... i have been trying to do things alone nowadays.. like going shopping alone.. going to a concert alone (soon.. i'll blog about that if i have the mood).. eat out alone.. and some other things that i may be trying out soon.. alone... so i'm still considering...

if i manage to save enough funds... i'll be going off overseas, to stay for a year or so and living alone.. i should be getting use to that... i was kinda desperate for a company but it seems not many(actually, there's none) of my friends are interested, but now to me, it's kinda pathetic.. so i'll be living up by myself from now on.. i dont really need company everytime i want to do something...

oh well... hope it goes off well..
and still... Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

Signing off!!
toodles..

my life as a hoarder..

I said my post will be at a monthly basis so here I am now.. doing what I've said i'll do...

My current life is filled with work.. ever since my previous post which I have mention that i'm fitting into my new position.. now, my training is over and I'll be getting my very first product next Friday.. woohoo!! Malaysia Employer's Handbook.. a Top ten product man!! a newbie's first product is a top ten!! stress... hopefully I won't screw up..

I'm now helping my team mates with their product.. for one, i'm getting a hand of what to do.. and then, i have them to check for me after I'm done.. which is a very good thing because i'm not at all confident with what i am doing... hopefully I did not screw up a lot.. wooo.. so nervous about my first product.. I'll first have to be certain about what i have to do when i get a product.. hopefully the 101 briefing on monday will fill me with those details..

after the updates of my life.. let's start on the topic for this post.. i talked about self narcissism during the last post.. this time i'll like to talk about hoarders.. accumulating stuff for an unknown future use.. which also means for no particular reason.. accumulating for the sake of keeping... well.. some things may seem like rubbish to one but a treasure to another.. although i do belong to the category of a hoarder but i do have my arguments.. maybe they might sound the same as any other hoarders out there.. but still.. those are valid reasons..

you keep the plastic wrapper of your favourite toy.. rubbish?? how can it be?? you'll never know you might need to wrap the toy back again or maybe there's something else that needs wrapping and the size happens to fit!!

you keep your old textbooks.. not for the sake of revising (there might be times that you MIGHT, i said might need to revise your moral textbook), i have other reasons for those.. i'm keeping them around for the sake of the pictures inside.. as moral textbooks will always have pictures.. those are for future picture assignments.. since i'm not good in drawing.. i could cut and paste those picture that matches my need of the assignment.. isnt that a good reason??

i keep my old worn out clothes around because i might need them for the cloth and stuff.. as there are a lot of D.I.Y articles everywhere.. these old clothes may come in handy when you need cloths or buttons and other accessories on the clothing.. It's useful to have it around just in case...

as for my old toys.. for the sake of remembrance.. a sign of my childhood.. i love them a lot.. as each and every one of them have a different story within it... that's priceless, you know...

since i like to accumulate things.. and therefore i have a lot of things.. sigh~~ but i just couldnt bear seeing them end up in the trash.. or anywhere else out of my sight... all of them mean something to me... even a piece of paper have its value..

i have been trying to get rid of this habit.. i persuaded myself that old magazines will not have any use in the future.. and sold them all to the old newspaper man.. after a period of reluctance, that is.. i am still trying.. i can still keep stuff around, i guess.. i just have to organise them..

well, that's me as a hoarder.. i admit that i am one.. i dont need you telling me how serious is my condition and need to start throwing stuff away.. i'm completely aware of that.. but i still can't throw it off.. not yet...

Me, myself as a student

It's me again... to invade my own blogsphere.. another sudden mood... so another random post... Here goes...

After next week, i could unofficially shed off my student identity card and start a whole new life... why "unofficially"?? the official date falls during the convocation, right?? the day i throw off my student id once and for all... well.. i have been a student for almost my whole life.. and i can't believe that there's one day i will have to say goodbye to it... Maybe because i'm used to ticking the box on the occupation category that states student... Now, i'll have to tick something else.. or maybe UNEMPLOYED!! if i don't manage to get a job secures after my finals... yikes!!

I started to put on school uniforms when i was 2... and that's when i start kindergarten.. in case you are wondering why did i start so early... i remember mentioning that my mom was the headmistress of a kindergarten when i was born till i was around 3 or 4 years old.. so i was basically born in a kindergarten.. when i was 2 my mom put me in my very own school uniform and "kicks" me off to class, where i start learning to read, write and count...
since i started at 2.. my kindergarten days was unusually looooong... there was a time when my cousin ask, why are you forever in the kindergarten stage?? What can i do?? i'm not at age yet to enter primary school.. so of course i'm in kindie... what a question to ask.. i should have answered that during that time... aish... As a kindie student, i was quite talkative.. often being punish for talking in class... hehe.. i was quite good at reading.. judging my process on the "Peter and Jane" series... i was usually ahead of others.. '.' v

after 4 years of kindergarten in 4 different kindergartens... hahaha... my record... i finally reach the age to step into primary school.. my first primary school was in Penang... where i spent 4 - 5 months there... then i moved back to Subang and went to Sungei Way.. it was a "transit" while waiting for Lick Hung to accept me... I was there for around 2 - 3 months.. i remember how i hate the prefects there... i dont know why.. they dont let you open your mouth or stand up for god's sake.. What The??!! At least those in Lick Hung were slightly better...
then i was transferred to Lick hung and settled there throughout my primary years... people always say the pressure in Lick hung is unbearable.. but it's really weird that i don't feel anything... The homeworks are ok, additional classes in the afternoon are kinda fun because our initial classroom is occupied by the afternoon session so we get to use the science lab or the "kemahiran hidup" lab... which is very different from typical classrooms... how boring could it be when you can look at saws, hammers and other tools or test tubes, thermometers and other apparatus in class... they are kinda interesting, if you ask me.. a shift from the text... hehehe...
I was quite a good student.. yes, i am... i did my homework although occationally forgetting some, but i always manage to finish it before handing in! I go to school by bus so it arrives super early that i'm usually the first to reach the class and on the lights when i was in the morning session.. so i have plenty of time to complete my "unfinish" business... even if i forgot to do my chinese caligraphy, i could easily find ink and brushes conveniently in one of my classmate's drawers... hehe... as long as i wash it and put it back... he's ok with it.. he's used to it anyway... he needs it too... then i'll have dictionaries in the drawer on another classmate which is a big help when it comes to those exercise that needs to description of words and stuff or even idioms.. that guy have all sorts of dictionaries under his table.. you name it, he got it.. huhu...
besides that, the best thing about our class is we have been in the same boat (class) for 6 years... so we are really united when it comes to conflicts.. we even help back each other up during punishments.. and some of us are still in contact... after 10 years.. (woah!! I'm old!!)
the bus rides are also the best moments, i always set my watch alarm to ring 5 minutes earlier than the school bell to remind me to pack up so that i can run to the bus and secure a seat when the bell rings.. as you know, boys and girls this age like to fight.. it's always a fight on who gets the most seats on the bus... but sometimes the boys will buy us, girls keropok lekor to enjoy during the ride home.. that's kinda nice of them.. but they still fight with you.. sigh~~ boys are already so complicated as such a young age...
anyway.. my primary school life are the happiest student days throughout my whole student life... Where is the pressure?? I did not really feel it.. so stop saying that Lick Hung is full of pressure.. It is not.. and, mind you... I've got 7As for my UPSR... so trust me.. no pressure...

Then, i moved on to secondary school just opposite where i stay.. it takes less than 5 minutes walk if there are no cars on the road separating my place and the school.. this a completely different life compared to my primary school, which i will do anything to get my primary school life back... it's not that i hate the school.. it's just.. i don't like it... don't know why... the people there are ok.. teachers are ok, some are very nice.. the students are fine, classmates get along quite well... i just don't know why.. maybe the lack of sense of belonging??
well... this is the time when i realised i have no interest in science an maths... although my marks have been quite high during primary school... i have suddenly lost interest in them when i reached form 1... weird.. i still don't know why... at least i was quite a decent student in school... i don't break rules.. unless you count bringing liquid paper to school... but do you know how many tubes of liquid paper i can buy with the price of one correction tape?? and how long can i use it?? do the math.. people can also "conteng" using correction tape la.. without liquid paper, there are still loads of things to use, like pens, for instance?? forbid us to bring pens then.. hahaha... obviously i would not be that stupid to waste my liquid paper to "conteng".. what's there to "conteng" anyway???
The best part, i could say during secondary school is the co curricular activities... i was quite an active member back then.. because the school is near so there is no transportation problems.. the same clob and society every year.. Taekwondo, chinese language society and ping pong... shows my loyalty huh?? Taekwondo is because I have been learning it since standard 1... so might as well continue... Chinese language society is because i really miss my primary school days... and ping pong.... erm.... this is just random... i'm not good in ping pong... er... i FAIL in ping pong.. why did i join in the first place?? i think its a random pick... since i'm not THAT into sports and badminton requires members to go to another place from to school to practise.. so i chose ping pong... and i till dont know why...
That sums up my secondary school life... nothing much about it... the most to talk about are my friends... but i guess you already know them.. they have been constantly appearing in my blog.. hui ping, sheh lee, rachel, cheryl, ain, ika, syahira, fathimah, cze theng, wei lin... etc etc... so i'll jump off to my next paragraph...

oh... then, it's my university life.. which is broken into 2 parts.. foundation and degree which is totally different... and i decide to continue them in my next post... so i could have more posts this month and also continue with my endless studies... huhu...

Mami and Me

Alrightey!! I know that i am now suppose to be drowning myself into the facts and figures of communication technology.. but.. as usual.. my blogging or writing mood will usually be turned on during these very crucial peak periods... sigh.. besides.. i have been ditching the blogsphere for quite a while now.. it's now time to be back.. or else.. my blogger status might even be terminated... Nah.. just kidding, it wouldn't be that serious.. unless i terminate my own blog.. Nothing will happen to Panda's space unless i say so.. yeps..

Now back to the topic... as everybody in the world knows.. mother's day is right at the corner.. so i now have the sudden urge to be writing about me mami..

I have hardly mention about my mami in my blog.. maybe because this is MY blog and it is suppose to be about ME.. ok.. MY family is also a part of me.. whoosh, whatever.. Sorry for the distractions.. it has been a long time since i last sit down in front of the computer and type a blog post.. so just bear with my sudden freak-outs and nonsense..

oo... coming back to where i am suppose to start with.. my mami... the fact that i am most proud of.. she is a masters student wei!! fuyoh, bangga sial!! however... friends of my mom has been constantly saying that my mom has been sacrificing a lot for the family.. Actually they did not say "family"... they said FOR ME.. i didn't really understand at first until i stepped into my university days.. only i know that she was suppose to have a bright future ahead of her since masters are quite hard to come by during her days.. and she decided to settle down and raise me up.. ("you raise me up...so i can stand on mountains~~" hehe.. so touching.. snif snif.. ehem.. back to blogging) so that how she sacrificed for ME...

But, I did TOO sacrifice for her.. erm... hmmm.. uh... ok fine.. i didn't.. eh, wait.. does driving her or my bro or my sis around count?? because she is lazy to drive and i did sacrifice my TV and online time for that, you know.. oh well.. i did help out with household chores too!! wash the dishes occasionally, help clear up when i have the mood, bring the clothes out to dry, take the clothes back in, frantically running to take the clothes back in when my neighbour's maid start screaming "Hujan!! Hujan!!".. and yes, there is a difference between both, one requires effort and the other requires more agility.. hehe.. ah yes.. i sort the clothes too, fold the clothes.. buy clothes.. hehe.. that's not suppose to be in the list..

anyway.. the times when she started teaching me mathematics when i was like 3 years old was my worst nightmare.. just because she is good in maths and also a statistics major does not make me a born mathematical genius or whatsoever.. well.. i guess that is why i hate maths.. until NOW... But i can't deny the fact that it did helped me quite a lot.. imagine at the age of 3 or 4(i'm not sure which).. i already know that the mathematical signs (+ - x /  i dont know their real names, so sorry.. told you my maths is bad) that is moved to the other side of the equal sign will be the opposite of its kind.. like a plus becomes a minus and vice versa.. i did not know this theory really exists until when i reach form 2.. i really thought it was a formula invented by my mami.. haha.. because i have never seen this formula throughout my primary days.. that sounds kinda cool.. hehe..

the best thing about my mami is she goes shopping with me and my sis.. and most importantly.. PAYS!! haha.. thats one of the reason why i love shopping with my mami.. and also we can buy clothes, bags or shoes that fits all 3 of us.. coz we are almost of the same size.. maybe just a slight difference.. but.. nevermind.. save money, save the environment.. thats a good thing.. so the exchange of clothes and other garments part is frequently happening in our house.. sometimes you'll find someone digging into the wardrobe that is not hers.. hahaha...

not forgetting.. my mami's cooking.. my bro has been constantly praising my mom as a "good cook" ever since he start eating solid food.. although he sometimes compare her with my 3rd aunt (saa koar) but she's a chef la.. can't really compare.. but he did say they are on similar standards.. anyway.. my mami cooks yummilicious food.. although now she keeps emphasizing on the less salt, less oil = healthier eating habit.. but still, i'll miss it when i don't get to eat them for more than 3 days..

hmm... that's all i guess.. i have to go back to my facts and figures or else i'll be in deep trouble tomorrow.. see ya soon!!

worn out...

wah~~~ just a sudden urge to ride my bicycle.. so i decided to take my dust-coated "mountain bike" out for a ride... also, i need to post a letter to oolong tea.. so i might as well go to the post box near my house and drop my letter...

so i move out my bicycle... the tyres werent full of air so i took out the foot pump... but somehow dont know why the tyre is still kinda "flat"... after a few rounds of trying i gave up and took the other pump which requires the car engine as a power source... i think the problem is with the foot pump and not the bicycle tyre... after all my tyres are full of air... i hop on and off i go to post my letter..

in the beginning of the journey is still ok... until i met a slope towards the post box.. not 1 but 2 slopes... huhu... after i dont know how many years of leaving behind my riding skills.. it certainly is kinda scary being unable to control the speed of the bicycle.. it's funny that i didnt notice the slope before... coz i used to drive thru that road... so slope or no slope didnt really make any difference to me...

ok.. letter into the postbox... now here comes the nightmare... going down the slope is scary... imagine going up... it's freaking EXHAUSTING!!!!! gosh... 2 slopes man!!! this is no joke.. after i reach the end of the slope i felt that my legs arent mine anymore.. however there's still quite a distance from my house.. but luckily the road is flat... *puff puff~~

after i reach home... my arms and legs dont feel like mine anymore... dont know why my arms feel like that too... weird~~ do they share the same nerve system???

i know i have not been exercising AT ALL... i guess... this is a sign of me getting worn out...

hands and legs are falling off...

XOXO (detailed explanation)

The reason this is repost is due to some people who don’t understand the point of the point and starts giving anonymous rude comments about the points that doesn’t even exists in the post… besides… I think that fella is banned from hk now coz he criticize hk so much until one of my friends said that he should just stay in an egg and grow there because hk is just a small portion of the real world…

Ok… if you totally understand my previous post (XOXO) regarding this.. I think there’s no need for you to continue reading but you still can just for the fun of it.. because at first… XOXO was just my perception about certain things and I am not talking about anybody in particular… but now this is directed to the anonymous in person… however I doubt that fella will be reading this post after leaving such shallow opinions…

Ok… let’s start….

As i said... i have rants to get on with... at first i thought that it might just spoil my mood... but second thought... timing isnt really an issue... so i decided to pick this lovely morning... to release some of my stuff... which maybe some people are very curious about... wahahahah... (*winks)

–ok… this paragraph doesn’t need explaining, does it??? Ok… in case some people still don’t understand.. I’ll just make it clear that I have made a clear point that this is just me letting out several negative stuff that I have within me… so those who are interested can go on reading… those who are not, then they should stop because it will ruin their lovely morning.. –

first things first... i would like to say... everybody is not perfect... everybody have their flaws and weaknesses... but its up to them whether to improve or change or not... and its up to you whether you could accept it or not... sometimes a flaw may not seem such a big problem to person A but it's a great big deal to person B... so who's problem is it??? the person with the flaw or person B??? in my opinion it has to be person B... because it is not a big deal to other people... so you either learn to accept... or just totally ignore... i understand it is hard to accept something you dont agree with... but i dont think its necessary to make such a fuss about it.. since some people could stand the way it is... well... in some situations... if everybody couldnt stand the flaw... or a majority couldnt... then the person should do something with the flaw... because its disturbing almost everybody around the person... but if there's just a minority... maybe it's the flaw that makes out who you are... makes you unique.. makes you special... what's the fuss???

–hmm…. Here I’m saying that sometimes when you couldn’t accept somebody’s flaw… you should not straight away go on and blame the person for not being perfect… as stated “everybody is not perfect… everybody have their flaws and weaknesses…” instead.. maybe you should ask yourself that is it your problem because you couldn’t tolerate with such small matter??? Ask around and see if its such a big deal.. if its not… then maybe you should do something yourself and not go around and blame others… sometimes a flaw will make someone unique… in case some people don’t understand this again… I’ll give an example… jay chou… he has been criticized a lot for not being able to pronounce his lyrics clearly… but then… look at how many fans he have… since the majority could accept… then it’s not such a big problem after all… and now… it has became his signature… however… he did put some effort on his pronunciation… but somehow people prefer him not doing that… haha.. –

well... everybody has a right to voice out when they see something they dont agree with... but i shall also say... they also the right not to... so just see how it goes... if they decided not to say anything... may they can still bear with it... and they also have their ways of avoiding it to affect themselves... so why make a fool???? and ruin things that are in a good condition???

–here it means that people have the right to open their mouths or not… so any third party is not suppose or allowed to force anybody to voice out… and sometimes when people don’t mention maybe it means that people don’t think the matter is important enough to express… and maybe people just don’t want to ruin things that are going on nicely all the while…. So people are just trying to be nice… which force them not to be??? –

i shall also say that... talking behind people's back is not a good thing... but sometimes... there might be a reason behind that... although it may not be strong enough to support but then... sometimes its really better that way... i have experience... that people cannot really handle critisms although they claim they could... in the end... friendships... gone... everything... vanished.... so why pretend as though you could when in the reality you couldnt???? and as a result... break things that arent suppose to be broken???

–oooo… here comes the very “misunderstood” part… I shall highlight it.. talking behind people's back is not a good thing… so that’s what I said… however… there might be reasons behind it.. maybe they don’t wanna spoil the relationship they have with the person… because criticizing in front of that person may hurt his/her feelings… and they will turn defensive.. and fight back… things in the end turn out ugly and not the way anybody has expected… -

i stand my views as if i dont like people doing that to me.. i will not do that to others in the first place... like i hate being framed... so at least i will not be framing people for what they have not done.... but however... i never said that i hate people talking about things behind my back... honestly i'm ok with that... ok... maybe i'll be a little uncomfortable... but come on.... who likes to be the topic of gossips??? i'm still ok with it... because the mouth belongs to others... i cant do anything about it... although... due to my very "kepo"-ness... i am always curious about what they have to say about me... well... if i get to know it...

–ok… here’s another “misunderstood” part… I said “if i dont like people doing that to me.. i will not do that to others in the first place...” so I said that… I can still accept people talking behind my back because I do that too… well.. I cant expect people to respect me if I don’t respect people on the first place.. so I’m fine with people talking behind my back… good or bad… and I don’t see it as backstabbing because they are telling the truth about what they don’t like about me… and those are not my secrets… so since it’s the truth… how can you say its backstabbing??? Backstabbing means betrayal.. misuse of trust… like I trust them with a secret and they go off telling people.. that, to me is backstab… but of course I cant expect everybody… all of my friends to like me 100%... so they are allowed to say and even discuss my flaws with others… when they decided its time for me to know and change… I’ll get to know eventually… if not… they either think it’s just a small matter… or they think I’m hopeless to change… -

hmm... ok let's make it this way... if its a negative thing... and that person doesnt like it... ok.. i'll try my best not to do that in front of him/her.. but that doesnt mean that i could change overnight and completely stop to be a different person.... maybe others could accept so i could express the way i am to the people who can accept... no harm done....

– maybe my command of English is that bad until people don’t understand what I write… maybe I should consider English lessons or something… here I said that if somebody doesn’t like me doing something… hmm.. this is vague… let me give an example… A doesn’t like me cursing… I’ll avoid cursing in front of her… but maybe in front of B who doesn’t mind me cursing.. I’ll still curse… because I cant just stop straight away… maybe some people can… but I need some time… I’m a bit slow sometimes… so bear with me..-

its hard to change something that has been comfortably set in you... maybe you could avoid.. but its still in you... like how i dont like malaysian cantonese.... i avoid using the term that were only used in malaysia... but my hong kong friends still say i speak in a very malaysian way... what to do??? its with me all the time.... sometimes they'll say... "hey... you now speak less like a malaysian already... welcome to hong kong!!!".... i'll be like "really??!!! oh gosh!!! i didnt realise!! yippee!!"

–this is just an example that I used to explain the above point.. just to say that I actually can change without realizing… and I’m so sorry to mention hk here… coz it made hk a shooting target… I apologise to each and every hong kong citizen who have come by this blog for unintentionally making it a shooting target for criticisms… and making them feel offended… I’m so sorry…-

same theory... different situations... applicable anytime.... anywhere...

–does this need explanation?? Coz I don’t know how to explain it… I’m just making an assumptions that usually people don’t change overnight but they will change without even realizing it… sorry if its wrong… just my own assumption-

however... i believe people talks about other people behind their backs all the time... good or bad.. it's just a part of mingling with other friends... nobody, i believe... nobody don't talk about the people they know behind their backs... of course unless they are dumb.... cant talk isnt a crime after all... being talked about isnt really as bad as some people think it is... in another way... i think maybe because i'm remembered for something... people know me for something... good or bad... hmmm... that's another thing then.... i'm working in the entertainment industry and we need these "gossips" to survive... no gossips... nothing... there's no word of mouth... then... please take out your wallet and pay for the promotion.. thank you very much....

– well… here I assume that everybody talks… even like when you discuss about stars (I mean singers, actors stars… not star light star bright… no wishes will be granted… thank you very much) I’m sure you couldn’t be talking about brad pitt or tom cruise in front of their faces right??? So that is kinda consider talking behind their backs… but actually when they talk about brad pitt or tom cruise… they are actually spreading their name around… that is why they are so well known… they might be talking about their life-partner change… or they can also be talking about how good looking they are and how good is their acting… this is call word-of-mouth promotion.. which is free of charge… and that’s a really typical thing that is happening in the entertainment industry… people criticize because they don’t know or understand… well.. if these are people who are also working in the industry themselves… I feel very sorry for their naïve-ness…. No.. their density….-

Thank you for your time!!!

Internship lessons to be learnt

Honestly... how long have i been staring in front of this page???? sheesh... that is what happen when you have the mood to blog but nothing to blog about...

however... i'm still thinking of things to blog... so while i think... i'll just crap along the way... bear with me....
weekends are near!! woohoo.... another week of internship has ended!!!
it was a very empty week... because the pending jobs are all done... no preproduction stuff to rush... no shootings to go... now left are things like VO recordings and other post-production stuff...

this week's bi-weekly report is gonna be really really short... i hope miss june will be happy... after rejecting my reports because they exceeded 3 pages... oh gosh!! what's wrong with having a lot of things to do??? at least i DO have things to do... ok fine... if you wanna tell me doing slides and getting refreshments for clients are things that nobody wants to know... then tell me... what do THEY want to know so that i can DECORATE my report to be exactly the way you want... happy???

well.... i'm very busy when it comes to near-production days... coz now i'm practically in charge of calling the talents... checking their availability and stuff... wuahahhaah... luckily my knowledge about local artiste are still quite up to date... so when people ask me like... "how did she came in the industry??"... "where did she work previously??" and things like that.. i can actually answer... "She's from star search 2003.".... "she used to be a news reader in 8tv." and other stuff... which i doubt others can answer... wahahaha.... i still love malaysia, do i????

after working i just realise how naive i am... its a real world, buddy!!! what do you expect??? people will be taking care of me???? giving me full attention as though i'm a baby???letting me know whatever they are thinking about and everything???? hmmm... i'm just so wrong.... the fragile heart will have to strengthen up beacuse if not... i'm so sorry... you are in the wrong field...

this is a field full of gossips... well... i love gossips... as much as i love "gossip girl"... i dont mind gossiping... because honestly... if you are what you are.... it doesnt affect much....
however... how much as i love to gossip... i'll be doing it as ethical as possible... well i do get the point that gossiping is not something ethical... but i will not add anything more negative to it.... i skip personal stuff... and never dig into them if people are unwilling to share... i keep my eyes as straight as possible... i only say things that i have seen it happen... when people share their experience... it grows... but i'll not make it my own....

all these thing has split me into different characteristics... which in my point of view is necessary in this field...

-you'll have to work even though you dont want to/dont like or just not interested...-
(personal quote)

what have i split into????

an accountant - who keeps track of my expenditure.. making sure nothing goes off my budget... since i'm not really earning yet... this is crucial... because now i know and understand how hard it is to earn.... try to spend the minimum...

a panda - yup... i still have my panda eyes... and yep... i'm still lazy... and no... i dont eat bamboo shoots... but i shoot!!! hahahahah.... (dont get the wrong idea) and to add to that.... i'm getting FATTER!!!!!

a chameleon - i change colors according to situations... my true colors arent shown that often anymore... i find that adapting my perspective and perceptions towards certain situations are actually better than just blindly applying what i believe.... (which sometimes i think is quite foolish, no offence... just for my situation)

a lawyer - as i tend to defend myself whenever things turn out the way they are not suppose to and i couldnt help it, or i have nothing to do with it... just gracefully blur the target of who is responsible... to save yourself...

silverstar - ya... that's my old id.... a star... in silver... why???? because i try to shine on my own but i still need the guidance of light... but then... if you glare hard at me... i reflect even harder on you...

a sudden-health-freak-but-tak-jadi - due to my terrifying weight gain... i decided to be more attentive to my diet and exercise whenever i can (or should i say when i have the mood).. well... it's not working really well but there are results... small but still there are....

hmm... what else??? cant really think of anything now...
i tag the person who has been pestering me to write this post... whahaha... (no lah... didnt really pester... hmm.. how do you say that?? erm... encourage???)

i suddenly miss a lot of things.... sigh~~~~

what do you feel when exam is nearing???

As i go around peeking at other people's blog... i found something very interesting from one my high school mate's blog.... which very much describes my feelings during exam... although mine is almost over... but like i once said before... sharing is caring....

those in purple... are my own opinions... the rest are all taken from my friend's blog...

What do you feel when exam is nearing?

Stress:

No need for that. Remember, the more you stress, the weaker you become and you get all tensed up. This leads to lack of sleep (just to force yourself to finish up all the notes), brain congestion (too stressed of counting the time you have left for studies & in the end rushing through everything), forgetting your meals (one good excuse ---- No appetite) and in the end --> Allostatic load and KO
my stress level usually risen when i see the question paper and realise that i have no idea how am i going to answer... this will really stress me out... other than that... it's still ok... the stress is usually an aftermath... when i think i didnt do well for the exam... that's when the stress factor comes in...

Depression:

"Oh my god..I'm dead..I'm dead!!! I haven't study this, that, here, there, everything!!!"
"Shit..Why can't I remember anything?!!"
"Darn..Why people can remember such details which I don't even have a clue what that's all about?!"
"Time is running out . . . I'm dead for sure . . ."

And before you realise, you are already DEAD before the exams. Rather than spending your time sulking, STUDY and give in your best efforts!
again... my depression level risen after exams, normally.... when i realise that i couldnt answer a single question properly... then i'll damn depressed... but this feeling usually will not last long... as after every paper i have done... it's a step closer to my holidays... so usually the feeling will be gone until i get back my results... ehehe

Insomnia:

Yeah it's normal, it happens all the time. People trying to stay up all night before the exams, trying as hard as they might to squeeze all the information into any possible sulcus or gyrus in the brain. Yes you can stuff them in, but will they stay there when your brain is screaming in agony for some sleep?

NO. So, why not use the time for some good rest instead?
oh no... i dont burn the midnight oil for exams... assignments, yes... but not for exams... i make sure i have enough sleep before exams... eventhough i'm not done memorising the notes and facts... i'll still go to sleep first and maybe snatch a few minutes before the exams starts to cram those into my brain...

Start asking people around for answers:

Haha..This is an interesting one. Before the exams, you are playing and fooling around in class when your friend is desperately trying to concentrate while you're laughing and joking and playing around behind them. Now you want their precious notes? That depends how KIND the person you're asking from then.
wahahaha... this will not happen to me.... unless i was absent during a particular lecture or tutorial.... i dont go around asking for other people's notes.... maybe i'll just ask people to print the notes that were received via email since my printer isnt very stable... wahaha... other than that... i never ask people for their notes...
well... i dont have to... i listen and pay attention during class... i write down what is necessary for me to know.... so that's enough for me.... since everybody is attending the same class... it is ridiculus for me to not know something that the lecturer or tutor has taught but others do... RIDICULUS!!!

Studying last minute:

You are asking for it. Time management is everything. You spent the time available for rest & relax, now you pay double/triple/quadruple for making up the time lost. Plan, plan and PLAN your studies right. It's what that decides whether you get to sleep, relax and study well for long term. You shouldn't be STUDYING before exams, it should be REVISION. (Remember your brain needs input a few times before registering in your brain! Well, unless you're a genius born with superb memory. Too bad I'm not.)
ah-ha... that's what i do everytime... i know i'm not suppose to be studying last minute... but lazy-ness is born in me... so i guess it sometimes serves me right when i dont remember important points... sigh~~

Stay happy in exams and good luck~

what i should do

Honestly... i should be updating my other 2 blogs... including my fanfic blog... that makes three...

besides my blogs... there are several things that need to be done before i start shaking my legs for study week....
communication research methods assignment 2
screenplay and scriptwriting assignment 2
multimedia broadcasting (although hardly participating.. but i did help with the sketches and stuff!!!)

and not forgetting... my media planning presentation tomorrow... woo-hoo... "looking forward"... i'm starting to hate presentations now... especially when things get so complicated... its just a simply presentation... i stand in front and talk.... but there just have to be loads of critism.... opinions... "shootings"... which "pressurize" the whole thing... ( i know that's not the right word.. but i cant think of any other better words...)

a lot of things have been changing.... about me... the me in the past... is not the me now anymore... and i think the future me will be different too.... i keep changing i'm not even sure if i could keep up with myself.... things that i used to enjoy doesnt seem that fun anymore... people change....

the industrial training list is out.... however... the place i'm going to is already confirmed... so no harm done... haha... what kinda harm will it cause anyway??? it turns out that we will not be going to the same place... the LAI gang are now separated.... all over the place... with 3 in damansara perdana.... the rest... one eating free biscuits... one in cheras but assume she in singapore... one went back to his old "home"... one is joining forces with her "rakan sekampung".... one who is the oddest of all... is "beautify-ing" people in the future....

all these while i have been looking forward to my industrial training semester... but now... it seems to change... i kinda want it to delay.... hahaha.... eat my words!!! my stomach is now full of words... i think this is why i'm a kg heavier than before.... stoopeed words....

i am so broke... no money... why??? i dont know... but hopefully.... my urge to spend will come back.... come back... "bring back o bring back... o bring back my money to me to me..." that sure rhymes...
correction... my money is not really lost....

i dont know what am i talking about... signing off!!!

greatly appreciated

Well... after like 5 days of shooting... i'm certainly drained out.... but when comes to an end... i'm gonna miss this experience.... although it is tiring and a lot of time and effort has been dumped in... but i really appreciated the whole team effort of my group members... the whole bc5(edaline, krystal, tiff, sus, teck woei, yan jan, jian wen, pei lyn, pei li, whye, new, eelin, evelyn, leiny, soke jing, fong zuan... did i miss anybody???) plus chenghui and jessie....

i was really happy joining a completely new team... excited as well... i have never worked with a whole group of people which i have never worked with and we hardly know each other!! but after discussions, presentations, plannings, shootings and not forgeting nonsense-ing.. we all mix around very well... they have never treated us as outsiders because we were not originally from their tutorial group... nor were we from ktar.... but they treated us as one of them... taught us whatever we asked... entertained us eventhough they were dead tired.... took great care of us.... listened to our opinions.... just too bad we didn't stayed overnight together on wednesday.... because us bc3-ians had classes on thrusday... 3 tutorials from 8am onwards.. they allowed us to leave the group... and rest for our classes while they stayed up all night shooting.... then they usually let us off early when we were shooting in setapak because we stayed far away from setapak... and never mind-ed us not doing anything during shooting except laughing my lungs out and end up being chased off and eliminated in the "laughing survivor" game.... always let us help around although some times it is not really necessary.... they tolerated with our time and tried their best to not make us skip too many classes.... really appreciated that....

although my job as a scriptwriter is only involved during pre and post production... but sometimes i feel bad for not being able to help out during production....

and to the bc5-ians.... we (chenghui, jessie, peitsan) are very very happy and honoured to be working with every single one of you!!!

go pro-production!!!!!

yes... i also hope that the person applying also does not have better qualifications than me...

eh-hello... this is the real world here!!! competition!!!! you'll have to fight for things!!! and when you can't fight with your hands... the least you could use is to fight with your qualifications.... but the only thing i'm losing out here is my employment history.... which is a HUGE... i mean HUGE factor when it comes to applying for a job, intern or whatever.... my employment history is a total joke if i were to insert them in... so i just eliminated the whole column....
