The 90s kid tag

 Half of December has gone by and I have 4 ore posts to go before I complete my new year resolution for this year... I guess i should not make any blogging resolutions new year.. They are so hard to keep when you have a target.. I will just stick to writing whenever I like it...writing seems easier that way..

Oh dear, I just remembered that I have a fanfic to complete... This will serve as a reminder for me to not make new year resolutions about blogging, it kills the fun..

 Anyway, I found another fun tag to do.. It's the 90s kid tag... I grew up in the 90s so this is like a walk down memory lane.. Hopefully I remember what I have been doing throughout that period as my memory is kinda failing me lately... I blame it on aging...

Here goes!!

1. Favorite TV show

I had a few... There were Full House...

 Family Matters... "Did I do THAT???"

I was and still am a TV buff.. These are those I have been watching before I could understand what was happening.. and of course my ultimate favourite was SESAME STREET

And.... Power Rangers!!

2. Favorite Toy

The first thing that came to my mind is....

Polly Pocket!!! These are pocket size doll house with different themes, super interesting and super fun!! I have always dream of having a doll house but it's really expensive.. so Polly Pocket is the next best thing... but if you have younger brothers or sisters that are in the age of putting everything they could grasp into their mouths this should be put away.. the dolls are around 2cm tall so it's hazardous... I remember my mom kept away all my Polly Pocket dolls when my sis was that age, leaving me with just the doll house and my imagination...

3. Favorite Commercial 

I actually found the commercial on youtube!!!

Remember how I said I always wanted a doll house.. It's all because of this ad!!

Doll houses were like the coolest thing a girl could ever own...

4. NSync or Backstreet Boys

I actually liked NSync but I listen to more Backstreet Boys.. so I am not sure which one I prefer more than the other...

5. Weirdest Fashion Trend

I dont really know fashion trends back then... so.. I'll just pass this..

6. Favorite Collectables

I used to collect a whole lot of erasers.. not sure if they are considered as collectables but I sure got a hell lot of nagging for the heaps of erasers I have been collecting and I will never let anybody use them..

 There were those which comes in all colours, shapes and sizes which I can get with a pack of noodle snack.. JJ (I couldn't find the image of the snack from google but those who were kids during the 90s should have known about this.. the snack that has a free eraser!!)

And the very popular flag erasers... there are a ton of designs on these kind of rectangular erasers.. I remember I had the power rangers, hello kitty, and alphabets version... that sums up to a hell lot of erasers!!!

7. Favorite Beanie Baby

The sesame street ones!!!

8. How many Tamagotchi's did you go through?

One... and I had it after the Tamagotchi trend died down... because i could get it for a cheaper price...

9. Favorite Game Console + Game

I dont own any game consoles... can I just replace it with a PC game?? My favourite was Wacky Race.. It's not just a racing game.. you get to throw bombs and spill spikes at your opponents..

10. Favorite Disney Movie

 The incredibles was out in 2004~~ so I can't say The Incredibles... So I'll go for Mulan.. Asian pride!!

11. Favorite Music Artist

I was really into chinese pop that time.. and I had loads of favourite singers.. My favourite that time should have been Ekin Cheng..

12. Favorite Nick Jr. show

I had to google this since it made no difference to me back then.. Cartoons were not split base on whether they are from Disney or Nick or Cartoon Network.. From where I come from, they will all be in the same channel on TV... My favourite was.. Inspector Gadget!!

Push Pop!! It was a luxury back then because it's kinda hard to get...

14. Favorite Game (Board game, School game, etc.)

Monopoly!!

There was a time when the Power Rangers, the movie was aired, they gave Power Ranger toys!!

Books by Enid Blyton!! I have been reading then since I was 5!! My ultimate favourites!!

Nothing in particular I guess.. I don't even have a particular favourite now..

18. What would you watch when you'd get home from school?

I watch a lot a TV back then... I will quickly finish my homework just to watch them... I remember a particular sequence on either Tuesday or Wednesday.. There's Theodore, the tugboat

 And then, there's TinTin..

[I]t's mid July now and I have nothing to update about so I suppose I could do a tag :)

Ah yes.... the fact that I have blogged 4 posts last month has left me so pleased with myself that I forgot it is now July and I am suppose to blog another 3 posts for the month... anyway, there is something I would like to blog about but I am still hanging around for the results.. will blog about it as long as I know the outcome.. the wait is kinda killing me though...

Oh well, I have to blog about something... so I decided to do a tag.. and I had never hide the fact that I am a Harry Potter fan, so behold, the Harry Potter tag~~~

1) Favorite book - I initially liked Prisoner of Azkaban because that was the first book I knew from the series.. a friend was reading the chinese version of it in school so i flipped it, got interested and decided to get the original english version... I still love Prisoner of Azkaban a lot but now I am a bit torn between this and Goblet of Fire after I started writing the fanfiction.. OK, I still love Prisoner of Azkaban...

2) Favorite movie - Er... Chamber of Secrets, I guess.. that was the only movie that I have watched in the cinema.. I watched the rest on DVD... The last one was good too, Deathly Hallows part 2 but too many people died so I guess I shall stick to Chamber of  Secrets... I actually like Goblet of Fire too, what's with me and GoF?? I kinda liked GoF because there were a lot of new characters finally appearing.. Fleur, Viktor, Cedric(Robert Pattinson before he was Edward), Cho, Barty Crouch Jr, Lord Voldemort(the nose-less version), Madame Maxine, Karkaroff.... but, I better stick to Chamber of Secrets...

3) Least favorite book - Order of Phoenix... because Harry is angry all the time and Sirius had to die..

4) Least favorite movie - Erm.... Half Blood Prince... I actually did not not like any of the movies but this was my least favourite one...

5) Parts of the books/movies that made you cry - Dobby's death...

6) Twilight vs. Harry Potter... - Er... I did not follow the Twilight Saga but I prefer Robert Pattinson a wizard than a vampire... If that's what the question meant...

7) If you could hook up with any HP character who would it be? - If it's based on the movies, it'll be Cormac Mclaggen since the movie did not show too much of his self centred-ness..

8) Favorite character - you know you are too tied up with your fanfic with your fictional character when it becomes your favourite character.. Anyway, if I really have to choose... I actually like Cedric Diggory.. not as in the Robert Pattinson's Cedric Diggory but the book's Cedric Diggory... He was the ultimate perfect guy, good looks, great personality, a gentleman, very noble and a talented wizard else how would he be selected for the Triwizard Cup??... how could you not like him?? Besides the fact that he died young.. huuuu tragic~~

9) What would your Patronus be? - despite my fear towards those flying-feathered species.. I actually thought it would be a Falcon..

10) If you could have the Resurrection Stone, Invisibility Cloak or the Elder Wand which one would you choose? - Invisibility Cloak.. I don't need to bring anyone back from the dead, nor I need to win battles.. but I always wanted to be able to turn invisible...

11) Are you upset with any parts left out in the films? - Not really.. because whatever that was left out I could easily picture it in my mind.. They did take out a lot from the books so that the movie will not overrun but I am fine with it.. *added at a later time* I was actually looking forward to the scene where Dudley told Harry that he does not think that Harry is a waste of space... A heart warming scene indeed, i think it was filmed but not included in the movie... I wonder why I forgot about this when I was writing this.. hoho...

12) What House would you be in? - Ravenclaw! *Eagle shrieks

14) Favorite professor. - Professor Flitwick

15) IF you could meet any member of the cast who would it be? - Only one??? I could not decide between Tom Felton or Katie Leung... or Freddie Stroma... If, I really could meet one.. I would like to meet Katie Leung...

16) If you could do one spell in real life what would it be? - the extension charm!!! So that my cupboards will not run out of space!

17) Have you played any of the video games? - Unfortunately, no.. Unless you count Pottermore..

18) IF you were on the Quiddich team which position would you play? - Beater... I think I am better at hitting bludgers than chasing, passing and blocking the quaffle or seeking the snitch..

19) Were you happy with the ending? - Too many people died.. but they somehow have to, to keep the story moving... I am pretty happy with the ending...

20) How much does Harry Potter mean to you? - I spent like, years of my life creating a fanfiction base on it.. It does mean a lot... I am still saving to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando and the Warner Bros Studio Tour in London...

Tag: My perfect imperfections

It has been quite some time since I have last did a tag... I found this tag when I was browsing videos of a blogger that i really like, her name is Jen, click on the link if you are interested.. have been quite hooked on online celebrities lately.. blogger, youtubers, twitterers... I have always enjoyed doing tags because they don't require much thinking and all you have to do is answer the tag.. your content is already outlined for you.. instead of cracking your head and killing your braincells thinking of something interesting to write about, tags are a great way to keep you blog alive and it will not bore people too much..
unless you do it too often.. it might kinda annoy people, but i don't mind.. so if you don't care, just do more tags in blog posts.. it keeps ideas flowing.. who knows you might suddenly think of some cool topic to write about..

This tag is about perfects and imperfections... Let's first look at my imperfections.. I like to have the bad news first before the good ones because knowing the positive might be able to overcome, overlap or balance up the negativity...

I'm listing 3 each.. so here goes..

Firstly, I have crooked pinky toes.. they look something like this...


See the pinky toe is crooked inwards.. it may not seem like a big thing to you but it really bothers me when I'm wearing heels or shoes with a narrow front.. as you can see, the pinky toe is crooked inwards so the "body" of the toe faces out, means  if you wear heels or shoes with a narrow front for too long, or if you walk too much, the "body" of the toe will rub against the side of your shoe or heels causing friction that will be very painful and also cause blisters which are very uncomfortable, especially when you can't take off your shoes...


Secondly, I have really fat thighs that I have been complaining all my life...


and fat thighs are prone to cellulite.. well, fat thighs are not something very nice to look at to start with... and i have a decent length of legs which I would love to show off it it wasn't this fat... and a lot of my jeans will fit nicely on the waist but it will be super tight on the thigh and hip area.. especially when you are sitting down.. my skinny jeans felt like they are gonna burst anytime...


Last but not least, I can't draw to save my life...


This includes matching colours, styling and many other things that requires art sense.. I guess that's just a handicap.. I used to aspire to be an artist, which seems like a huge joke now realising that my drawing skills aren't even elementary level.. well, that was because I used to.. erm.. actually I still do.. enjoy Art Attack by Neil Buchanan... If you know about Art Attack.. Neil is really an amazing artist.. he could create art out of anything, literally speaking... so seeing him do so many amazing things really inspire you to be like him.. however, i have accepted the fact that I can't draw at all.. if you see nice pictures "drawn" by me, those are most probably traced.. hehehe...

Ok, now we'll move to the perfect stuff.. but these are just things that I am happy and satisfied about myself.. not that I am saying that it is perfect or something...

Number 1, despite my handicap in drawing.. I am quite good with words and writing..


and it's something i really enjoy doing... i started writing my own stories since I was 10.. I used to watch TVB dramas and try to add a character in, just to put myself into the story.. for fun's sake though... self amusement.. I have been quite proud of the ideas i have produced.. although a majority of them are not complete YET but I am really passionate about writing.. and will never stop writing...

Number 2, I am quite satisfied with my height now... although I complained before that I am not tall enough.. but many people who look at me will think that I am taller than I actually am.. which is nice, in a way that I look tall to balance up the fact that I am not tall enough..

I am 5'5...


Number 3, I am quite satisfied with my skin colour.. it is slightly on the fair side..

although I am always looking for ways to be fairer but even if i could not go any fairer, i am happy to accept my current skin colour.. I guess this is due to the fact that i stay indoors alot, i hardly go outdoors out in the sun, so i think that's why i could maintain my skin colour to the fairer side... oh well, i enjoy staying indoors anyway.. so no complaints..

Interested??? who's not anyway??? at this age... being single seems weird when you se everybody around you ins in pairs.... anyway... i think my very topmost(is there such word??) problem about relationship is the commitment part... i'm having trouble commiting... when i commit too much... i'll be thinking whether will it be worth it or now... if i do too little... then i'll feel very guilty inside and start to worry about "the other person's" feelings...

why did i choose broadcasting??? this is like the first question almost every lecturer or mostly tutors will ask during the first day of class... i have answered this question for like a gazzilion times already... because i want to be a scriptwriter!!! i'm interested in chinese(especially hong kong) drama series since a very young age... and i have always been making up my own stories... that explains my fanfics... so my biggest dream is to work in TVB!!! (ya.. i said that a gazzilion times too...)

a lot... i admit that i am quite money minded and realistic... stingy... practical... thrifty... whatever you call that... when it comes to money.... i always have the theory of keeping a lot of money by your side gives you the feeling of safety-ness...

definitely my legs... not really long enough... and it's fat!!!!

ooo.. i usually forget my dreams.. eventhough i wanted to remember them so badly... oh ya... i remembered one... yesterday... i dreamt that i woke up at around 3 o'clock in the morning... i think its because i set the wrong time for my alarm clock to ring... so i woke up and went downstairs... commercial break: as being me... i will definitely off the alarm clock and go back to sleep... but this is a dream.. so i guess i'm not my usual self... then i saw the tv in the living room was on... i was kinda surprised... then i heard my mom doing chores in the kitchen... she said she let the tv on so that there'll be some noise... commercial break: this is also kinda weird for my mom because she hates noise and always off the tv when its noisy.... the tv was airing some tvb show... which i dont remember what's the name.... then.... here comes the exciting part....
i heard my alarm clock ring and woke up....

if it's logical and practical... i usually do get it... thanks to my very loving and caring parents... but if it's those un-realistic dreams of mine... then i can might as well dream on....

my first blog is actually in msn spaces... but was later being neglected.. so it makes my yahoo kimo blog my first official blog... why did i set up a blog and start blogging??? because it's just part of the trend.. and i love writing... in this case.. i dont have to keep loose strands of paper butto save them all in a database... that's "neater"...
