[T]adaa! Long time no see....... Balloons

Since the start of 2015, I have not blogged a single word here.. nor have I even logged into my Blogger account.. thinking of this really made me felt guilty... I should have at least post some new year resolutions (eventhough I havent really accomplished any or have any for this year) and I even missed my annual 1st of March post...

Counting my long debts of travel posts... i barely started the 2012 Korea Study tour and now I have a 2014 Korea study tour + Jeju-Busan Free and Easy added into the load, not forgetting a Hatyai-Bangkok trip in between during 2013.. I really salute bloggers who could blog about their whole trip in detail right after they are back from where ever they've been...

But... this post will NOT be a travel post... sorry to disappoint.. it is March anyway.. So...

Thanks to everyone who made my birthday so meaningful.. Never had I expected there will be such a celebration with presents, balloons, and ribbons... all I thought was a dinner and k session which my colleagues had planned a week before...

So, we went off for dinner... and then head to the karaoke... As I stepped into the room, I was surprised with the decorations... As far as I remember I hardly had any birthday parties before.. The only one that I remember was when i was 5.. which was a good... number or years ago..

I just realised I did not have any photos of the decorations without my face in it...

Just so you know.. my colleagues did put a huge effort into decorating the place.. there are balloons everywhere, a shiny, glittery banner thingy wishing me a Happy Birthday.. and the stars hung around the lights.. Man!! this is the best birthday deco for my birthday I have ever seen!!

And then... that's not all.... my colleagues surprised me by inviting even more people to the party!! Oh yeah!! I actually have friends!! People whom I have known from events that my company have organised...

And yes... There were presents!!!! Omaigot!! I haven't been receiving presents for quite a while.. except from myself.. haha..

Yeah, that's me opening my present...

Let's just fast-forward the process.. so here's what I've got for my birthday.. from my colleagues and friends..

There were 3 presents altogether.. and they were all wrapped super nice!! The first one was the heart-shape pendant necklace in the centre.. Then the music box on the top left and the last one was the red cat plushie on the bottem left.. the photos on the right are also my presents when they were still wrapped.. and fyi.. the red plushie cat has a body, just its head is kinda huge that it kinda hides its body.. anyway.. who doesn't love presents?? I LOVE THEM!!
Thanks everyone who contributed!!

And of course, there's a cake.. one of the prettiest cake I have had on my birthday too!!

A summary of my cake... and my cutting the cake..

And this is a summary of my birthday...

After that we sang our lungs out.. we were in a karaoke anyway... I didn't sing much though but it's fun seeing everybody enjoying themselves..

I'm just so glad to have known all these people, their passion has really influenced me and made me a better person..

And not forgetting to have a great family who didn't mind me spending the whole day out without them... coming home to this...

This is my siblings' way of wishing me Happy Birthday.. hehehe

My birthday's day itself may be passed but I celebrated it with another bunch of friends the next day..

We had dinner at a very romantic Thai food place at One City.. it's on the rooftop.. where the famous skywalk is!!

A very nice place with the view of I-am-not-sure-which highway...

After dinner, we had cake at the ground floor of One City..

And that, sums up my birthday for this year.. super heart-warming, super fulfilling... and... presents...

Until we meet again...

Macau-Hong Kong Birthday Trip Day 5 -Part 3-

Oh goodie, I finally reached the final post for my birthday last year.. this was just the day itself.. I still have a few more posts on the trip before I could end this.. I know I took too long.. I have another round of Seoul study tour post coming up.. that's gonna be about me spending 2 weeks in Seoul experiencing student life as a tourist.. this, I shall elaborate further when I get to it.. Now, back to Macau (Oooo.. it rhymes!!!)

Since it was my birthday, Valer took us to a Portugese restaurant.. it's not too far from the Ruins of St Paul so we walked there..

We knew nuts about portugese food so Valer ordered.. It's was her treat!!!! Oh my, I am loving this traveling-to-countries-where-you-have-friends thingy.. I get free meals!! hahaha...

I should not have delayed this... I forgot all the name of the dishes... i'll try to describe them as how i remembered...

this is some custard thingy with honey..

I tried looking at the menu to refresh my memory but I think we did not order the set meal...

this is.... i think it's pork.. AHHHHH... I am a terrible food blogger.. Luckily, I don't blog about food..

this is beef in gravy... i had this with bread for breakfast the next day!!! :)

Portugese soft drink!!!

salted fish pie... or some sort...

After dinner, we took another walk around the area... Macau is a really beautiful place.. I should not have just plan to stay 2 days here...

Just by walking around the area makes you feel so in the mood... the lights and the building are just beautiful..

Thanks Valer for bringing us around!! and thanks for the meal and celebrating my birthday!!! It's just great to have friends around in another country...

Valer has been working whole day so it's time her to go home and get some rest... but, the night is still young for us.. Valer suggest to go check out the hotels around Macau, which are practically the main tourist attraction around Macau...

The Grand Lisboa Hotel

It was drizzling that time.. so we had to walk around under an umbrella which makes it kinda inconvenient to go in the hotel for a look... you know, it's harder to cross roads when it is raining...

Wynn Hotel, Valer works here... she told us to watch the fountains and the fortune tree show there..

So, we waited for the fountain show... spectacular!! I am not sure if you can find the video on youtube.. or even better.. go to Macau and watch for yourself!

The view from Wynn... The Grand Lisboa is just nearby.. Is it wasn't raining, we would have walked over to check it out...

While waiting for the show to start, here's how the place looked like before the show start.. the top photo is the ceiling which shows the 12 chinese zodiacs.. and, the one on the bottom is the floor, i am not sure what it is though.. sorry~

Then, the ceiling opened...

And, the fortune tree rose from the ground...

It changes colour from gold to green...

And, that's the ceiling closing... marking the end of the show..

One of the gift shops in Wynn... The bear in the race kart is soooo cute!!

After the show and strolling around Wynn hotel.. We decided to call it a day and head back to the hotel..

Back in the hotel, hp decided to surprise me in the bathroom... I didnt notice this in the first place until hp hinted me.. Aih... I am so blind...

It says Happy Birthday & 10 anniversary!!! Yep, we knew each other for 10 years already.. Oh, gosh!! time sure flies!!

Towards the end of my birthday... after all the walking in HK and Macau... this is how I looked...

And, my poor feet... I suppose the soles of my shoes are too hard.. they were new by then and I had never worn them to walk for such long hours before... Been scurrying everywhere for Salonpas in HK~~

That's almost the end of my birthday trip to HK and Macau...
One more day left...

Till me meet again...
