I was just randomly browsing and suddenly had this really random thought of visiting my blog again. Trust me, although it seems like I have ditched it since 2019 but I really want to pick up writing again and has been saying that for the past 6-7 years ever since I stopped blogging.
Anyway, as I have landed here, I decided to go check my very first post which so happened to be on October 2006, exactly 20 years ago (not really, coz today's 12 and my first post was on 4 but then again...)!
Reading a few of my old posts made me wonder, how did I get so much inspiration and willpower (yes, judging by what I have become, it's definitely will power) to write such long posts and especially the holiday posts which I used to dread writing (still do) but I am so glad that I did write a few (so many discontinued ones).
The Panda in 2006 would never imagined the world 20 years later, AI is capable of writing blogs for you in your writing style and is also able to post regularly for you, everything automated. Gone were the days where I need to squint my tiny eyes to understand the coding and insert them into my blog to make it interesting.
Coincidentally, I just decided to do this yesterday but I am not sure how long I will last... I shall not give myself too much pressure or I might ditch it before I even start. But, I need to have a record of what I have planned.
1. I will try to get back to blogging. I will not set my blogging frequency because it might stress me out (YES! I am fragile like that).
2. I will blog in both my English and Mandarin blogs.
3. I will also post on Tumblr for micro blogs. When I am unable to sit in front of my laptop to type, I can do something on my phone, at least.
Why am I doing this? Well, in case you didn't know, I used to love writing. And, ever since I started working as a copywriter, writing becomes work and it's not that enjoyable anymore because although I write for a living, I hardly get to write what I want to write. It's always want the client or the bosses want, and it's never something that I feel proud of. Ok, never is a strong word, there are a lot that I don't feel proud of, and only a handful that I still keep them because I loved how it turned out. So, as writing turned into something I am no longer familiar with, I drifted away, from writing, from my blog, and from the hobby I used to enjoy so much.
But now, because AI writing is everywhere, it's a pain to no longer see genuine human writing anymore. And it hurts me even more that my ability to write is now drastically decreasing while the AI decides to learn about this post. I know that one day AI will replace writers but NOW I still want to be a human writer and write about things I would like to look back at in the future.
So... That's all for now, I hope my next post will at least be within the same month.
Till then... Toodles!
