Alright... Taiwan Trip 2 (June-July 2010)

It's day 2 in Taipei, early in the morning we took off to LongShanSi (龍山寺)

Our breakfast of the day, cabbage rice and fish.. A really local-like breakfast...

I guess everybody is at work this time in the morning, the park beside the temple is filled with senior citizens looking at us as though we are some kind of aliens wandering on earth

this is 龍山寺~ LongShanSi... It really crowded... and there's a lot of japanese students too.. I guess they're on a field trip... lawatan sambil belajar kinda thingy... to another country, that's so cool!!

Back into the station to our next stop... this is what you can find in their convenient store... How convenient!!

Inside the station...

Next stop, XiMenDing... what am I looking at??

This... The world cup fever is ON, man!!!

the famous ah zong misua 阿宗麵綫... their business is so good, you'll have to stand around and eat... but it's nice, even if you have to stand...

Next stop, JiangKaiShek Memorial 國父紀念館... Just to let you know... it began raining after this photo was taken...

Luckily, the rain stopped not long after...

climbing up the stairs to the see the statue... Trust me, after a day of non-stop walking, climbing up the stairs is a form of torture...

This is what you can find after the loooong staircase...

Here's Bitan (小碧潭)

Snack of the day~~ Crepe

YUmmy!!

That's all for day 2... stay tune for day 3!! whenever i have the mood, that is...

1 week of excitement

An exciting week has just past.... Bear in mind, it's the Air Asia promotion week... It's chaos on the internet especially the website for the airline... I must be really lucky to manage to secure return tickets to Macau next year... As i have planned... I would like to celebrate my birthday in a different country next year... and I actually am on my way to make it work (quote from Tim Gunn)!!

Although it's not the 10 cent air ticket... but i think it's affordable enough... No regrets there... i never knew it was so tiring to book tickets online, especially when there are like thousands of other people out there who are also booking.... i was kicked into the waiting for like a gazillion times before i could actually reach the booking process... but was kicked out again because i was too slow... talk about a panic attack... good thing only 2 of us are going... not much details needed... and everything could be done quick...

after the tickets have been book, the excitement started to sink in... i couldnt help seeking for budget hotels and tourist spots, promotions and stuff for the trip... even though i have more than 10 months to go...

let's move on with something else with my life... I've finished 10 lessons of korean language.. that marks another milestone to one of my goals.. another 10 to go before i take the topik test, which is the korean language proficiency test... i can't believe i'm actually on the way of achieving my goals... it's usually just a frame-up, where i'll just frame the goal up and look at it when i'm free without really taking any action to make it work(i really like this quote)...

today marks the 10th lesson and i guess i'll take a week or 2 off from classes... to revise and get ready before i start again...
한국어를 배워요~~~

I can type without refering to the character's list now... an achievement after 10 lessons of looking up the online korean dictionary...

that's all for now... after 2 months of silence...

Colour up!

My blog used to be colourful with emphasis of words, sudden change of font face and sizes.. because this is not really a picture oriented blog.. I don't bring a camera everywhere to capture candid shots and stuff... neither do i have a nice camera phone that could also carry a similar function (note: if you were following my blog for year.. you should've known that i've lost my phone's pc cable and the photos i've taken could not be transfer into my computer.. and for some reason, my computer does not have bluetooth), so to conclude everything, THIS IS NOT A PICTURE ORIENTED BLOG...

so to avoid boring some reader who likes some visual attraction to death, i played along with
colours, font faces and sizes.. until one day I suddenly find all these seems kinda childish and decides to grow up.. that's when the boring mono-coloured, filled-fully-with-words post starts to appear in my blog...

Come to think of it... that's not really that fun to read, ain't it??

So i decided to return to my childish ways~~~ some people thinks it's glaring... some people thinks it's confusing... I once thought it was childish but now I think it's kinda interesting... mono-coloured posts takes only half the time now i guess i'll need twice the amount of time i used to use for writing blogs... oh well...
Maybe I won't do it for every posts...

as time goes by

How ironic... when put together some of the things and you realised that it's some kind of sign?? My last post was actually just a sudden thought after watching a TV programme.. and i just happen to have that thought during the CNY period... which is not something that should be going on during a traditional festive season... Maybe I should not have take the superstition so lightly... It does have its consequences... I decided to ignore it... and I'll never ever do that again... If I were to choose, I'll not be posting that blog... I'll stay positive the whole entire festive season.. and I'll keep my mind off these unlucky stuff... if it really does make a difference... i'm willing to reverse it..

The emptiness is felt everyday I walk into or out of the office... everytime i sign in or sign out... everytime I walk to the washroom... the gush of emptiness will just shove itself on me... leaving me feeling really heavy... it's not about weight now.. it's about a feeling... pushes your heart down making you hard to breathe but not enough to suffocate... I wonder... is this all planned?? in the hands of god?? He actually intend to make this happen?? or were there other reasons?? how could something so good have to meet something so bad?? it doesn't really make sense.. if it's all planned by Him... Why?? There are so many other candidates out there... why??

Every other thing seems so petty... relationship problems... money... stress... pure dissatisfaction... nothing seems to matter... to worry about such things really seems kinda pathetic to me now...
you loss a boy/girl?? so what?? you still get to see him/her... you have a concrete physically visible person for you to hate and blame for all the depression you are going through... at least, the person is there...
you dont have enough money to buy the thing you always wanted?? what's that to be depressed about?? you're alive and kicking.. go get your own funds... what's there to whine about the unfair-ness in the world that some people can carry stuff that costs more than the total of your earnings of your entire life... so?? is that really important?? you do have the chance to move and get it.. eventhough it's costs time and effort.. at least you could pay that..
stress and pure dissatisfaction?? ok, so it's your finals tomorrow and you have not studied anything yet.. or you're required to get some job done within seconds... well, at least you could feel the stress and the satisfaction if you overcome them... pure dissatisfaction is just sad, go get a life.. the world does not stop for you if you hated your job, your body, your face, your gf/bf, your rival, the person who have a nicer figure than you, a singer that sings like crap and depends solely on looks... there are plenty of things that are more important than to stop and feel negative towards something that maybe doesnt even care...

I do wonder is there a sign?? what makes me write my previous blog post?? is it a wake-up call telling me that if i want to pursue something i should not be sitting down write a list, and leave it there thinking that it's impossible to get them fulfilled.. instead, i should be planning on how to get it done and dealt with.. I'm a natural procrastinator.. i have a whole lot of things that i wanna do but i always keep it till tomorrow... until the time comes... something tells me this kind of attitude is not getting me going anywhere..

almost everybody takes things for granted... anything, anybody will still be there tomorrow... there are times that you might not be that lucky... and things can be too late, you'll regret but nothing's gonna change anything except for what's done is done... and you cant do anything about it... you may say it's not fair and you dont deserve it... but, does all the earthquake victims deserve to die because of the disaster?? does the victims of suicide bombs deserve to die exploded?? what did they do to the bomber?? besides being at the wrong place at the wrong time?? somethings are just meant to be and eventhough you question them, you'll never get the answer you wanted or expected or want to hear..

i miss the smile that greets me every now and then in the office.. i miss the company.. the constant company when I stay back late to get my work done... the voice that wishes me happy holidays before the celebration... all these seems minor but you'll realise that it really means a lot after it's gone...

I hope you're in a better place now, enjoying every bit...

Signing off...
may you rest in peace... Ernest Ong... you're a good friend and a fantastic colleague to work with.. you're the only person who colour italics so that it's more obvious... I'll miss you always... Goodbye..

What do you want to do before you die??

Okay, I know it's still within the Chinese New Year celebration season and Valentine's has just past, It's not a time to be talking about such an "unlucky" topic.. Well, superstitions say if you mention the "d" word during Chinese New Year, you'll "suay whole year a!!!" means you'll not have good luck for the rest of the year... But then, that's a topic that came into my mind.. If I don't write it down I forget about it after a while and it'll go to waste.. No use tampering with the date of post because I did think of this during Chinese New Year and I'm typing this during the celebration, so no use changing it because... It's there lah.. ish...

I have been watching this TV show called "The Buried Life" talking about a few guys who didn't want to follow the typical stuff in life made a list of what they want to do and achieve before they die and went on performing them one by one, crossing them off the very long list... Those are mostly kinda impossible things, such as "a date with Megan Fox" (Obviously that failed, as she is fully armed with guards and well-protected by her manager), "attend a party at the Playboy Mansion" (This was successful.. and I didn't the Mansion had such tight security, even Christiano Ronaldo couldn't get in), "Play ball with President Obama" (Apparently Obama is a VERY BUSY person... so this wasn't successful either but i think they manage to have a game with him after that episode), "Help deliver a baby" (this one went great..).. Ok, I can't remember every single episode.. just go and google to find out more... But the best thing about this show is that when they are getting something off their list, they'll help a stranger to fulfill what they wanna do before they die and as far as i remember it, they manage to get all of them fulfilled...

After watching this I have been thinking.. What do I want to do before I die?? Currently, my only goals are traveling to a whole lot of places.. I never thought that actually like to travel but going places is what that came into my mind while i was thinking about my list... besides that, is to go study overseas (travelling again... somehow it counts as travelling.. since i'm going somewhere), and then is to get a writing job or get recognise as a writer...

That's about it.. That's not a lot.. maybe it's a good thing meaning i have achieve most of what i want in life... or I actually don't know what do I wanna achieve in life.. the latter sounds kinda sad... that better not be me...

i'll still be thinking about my list.. and why not you think about it too... take a time off your work or studies to do something crazy that you've always wanted to do.. the feeling of satisfaction after it's done is indescribable... well, i'm imagining it.. as i haven't cross out anything on my list yet..

In a quest to cross out stuff on my list..

CNY (change of resolutions)

Happy Chinese New Year!!! It's the Eighth Day of the festival, everybody is still well and running...
My CNY celebrations are similar to the previous years... relative visiting here and there... off the Johor... more visiting... watch TV... eat.. and that's almost it... Well, what do you expect?? CNY is a celebration when relatives, friends and family get together ain't it??

Speaking about TV... The thing i love most about CNY, besides the reunion-get-together part is the TV programs.. When my VCR was still working, I'll usually be recording a whole lot of them so that i can watch them over and over again during the year... But now, it's not working.. and I couldn't stand the faces of the Sony people when I send it for repair.. Honestly, what is wrong with wanting a VCR to get fixed?? It's old fashion, yes.. I know, so what?? People in the advance countries like US and Japan still uses those you know... It's very useful if you ask me...

Back to my title.. I have been thinking and I guess I'm having too much in my mind and I'm going nowhere with any of that.. yet... (I have not started my korean classes just yet)
I've always wanted to go overseas and stay there for a while not really for travelling purposes but to live a in a different place and lead a different life from the one back at home... I'm not too confident that I will be able to get a job overseas... So my next best thing is to study.. although I don't really fancy studying but I dont mind if I had the chance to..

So, one of my New year resolution is to go to Singapore this year.. but I guess i'll have to cancel that and start saving for something bigger tomorrow.. maybe celebrate my birthday at a different place.. other than home.. a different state or maybe a different country... It's the year of the dragon next year.. I have gone through 2 full cycles of the chinese zodiac years in my life.. and that's something special that's worth a celebration.. besides, I need some excitement to stop me from feeling old as I'm aging all the way and i'm getting really pessimistic about that.. something like that may be able to cheer me up... my dull life is leaving me realising that i have not done much in my life.. somehow wasting my years with nothing much to remember..

should I go travel, backpack alone?? that is really exciting... but i'm kinda scared about that... i have been trying to do things alone nowadays.. like going shopping alone.. going to a concert alone (soon.. i'll blog about that if i have the mood).. eat out alone.. and some other things that i may be trying out soon.. alone... so i'm still considering...

if i manage to save enough funds... i'll be going off overseas, to stay for a year or so and living alone.. i should be getting use to that... i was kinda desperate for a company but it seems not many(actually, there's none) of my friends are interested, but now to me, it's kinda pathetic.. so i'll be living up by myself from now on.. i dont really need company everytime i want to do something...

oh well... hope it goes off well..
and still... Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

twelve plus one equals thirteen..

Well... the current big Hoo-haa besides Thaipusam and American Idol, the thirteenth zodiac.. horoscope.. star sign.. whatever you call it.. the Ophiuchus... how do you pronouce this anyway?? os-fiu-choos?? well.. again.. it's not really my concern as far as the dates and horoscope thingy changes.. my horoscope will not be this os-fiu-choos thing.. so i wouldnt have to care how to pronounce it..

well.. if you are still seeing stars, question marks, fogs aka blur about what i have to say here.. i'll have to say.. stick your face onto a book.. there's like tons of posts, status, notes.. whatever you can post on stick-your-face-onto-a-book (aka Facebook la.. in case you are not in the same direction as i am.. just have to give it in your face!! then I throw you a book.. wahahaha... ok, enough of these faces and books.. back to the story) almost everybody has been posting, announcing, broadcasting, grumbling, moaning about the change of horoscopes because a certain 13th horoscope has been found..

to know more about this.. http://www.coffetoday.com/the-thirteenth-zodiac/908672/
that's one of the website to go.. or else.. go google la.. 13th horoscope or something..

What do I have to say about this?? Not much.. just the fact that I'm split into 2 horoscopes makes the whole thing a lot more fun... have you notice that there's a repitition of the last date and the first date of 2 consecutive horoscopes?? which means people who were born on these dates belongs to 2 horoscopes.. ain't that interesting??

I admit that i do like to read up about horoscopes and fotune telling stuff just for the fun of it and to testify it's accurate-ness... so as long as i still have something to refer to.. i dont mind being in 1, 2, 3 or even 4 horoscopes..

here are the dates and changes.. help yourselves..

- Capricorn : 20 January – 16 February
- Aquarius : 16 February – 11 March
- Pisces: 11 March – 18 April
- Aries: 18 April – 13 May
- Taurus: 13 May – 21 June
- Gemini: 21 June – 20 July
- Cancer: 20 July – 10 August
- Leo: 10 August – 16 September
- Virgo: 16 September – 30 October
- Libra: 30 October – 23 November
- Scorpio: 23 November – 29 November
-Ophiuchus: 29 November – 17 December
- Sagittarius: 17 December – 20 January

this post is kinda meaningless besides spreading the hoo-ha about the horoscope.. and also to bring back my blog-updating mood so that this place will not be neglected too often..

that's all i have to say...

On the way with my resolution 2011.. Yay!

Here I am again... for a random update... Speaking about New year resolutions.. I kept mine moving.. earlier than i have planned.. but it's a good thing.. i guess.. I have registered with my former Korean teacher from when I was attending classes in UTAR.. I'm planning to start either around March or April.. After I'm settled with my finances first... Since I have started working, which will also mean that I'm paying my own fees.. and obviously, the fee for learning a language is not cheap.. especially when you lose your student identity... everything is always more expensive for the working people.. I wonder why???

With the cost of everything increasing since the start of the year... new year, new price as they say.. the only thing that keeps to its stable horizontal line is the amount I'm earning... Coz I'm still new.. I'm not entitle for an increment... yet... tough~~

I have already booked a place with my former and soon-to-be Korean seon seng nim... without doing any research on other language centres offering the service that I am currently looking for.. well, there might be cheaper place which I will regret not finding it first.. or places that does not require me to travel too much and it may also be cheaper which i might be banging my head against the wall five times behind everybody's back after knowing about that.... but... just something to comfort myself for the above situations so that I wont suffer from severe internal bleeding is that since this teacher has taught me before.. she'll know my level and my learning habits so i would be able to pick it back up faster than those who treat me as a new student and unaware of my basics and how much I've learnt previously.. they might be teaching me repititive stuff and might waste my time and money.. so, with somebody who knows where I stopped, I'll be learning something new everytime...
Hopefully those are enough to comfort me if i accidentally found somewhere else that offers the same thing with a cheaper price and a nearer place... i's better go wrap my walls with sponge first.. hehe...

besides that.. i'm now considering about taking the official korean language exam.. TOPIK.. exams are so not me.. I hate exams.. i always stick to the theory where when exams exists.. the student will never be truely passionate about what he or she is learning.. their sole focus will be to ace the exams and not really on mastering the knowledge of the subject itself.. at least that's something i've gone through.. in the end, it's all about exams and i might end up forgetting more than half of it after i step out of the exam hall.. kinda wasted, ain't it?? however, people have been telling me that if i don't take the exam, i'll never be recognised as somebody who knows the language as i have nothing to prove.. no certs or result slips to show how good am i in the language... well.. that carries a point too... cause if i'm really interested in languages and writing, wanting to pursue a career with both of those in my pocket, i should be getting recognition.. getting my writing complete is something that i have said for like a gazillion times and till now i still can't manage to complete them... and besides that, i should be going for exams and get myself some certs to prove that i know the language..

so now, i have started stepping out to get recognitions for Korean.. i think i should be doing something with my japanese as well.. i have my textbooks around.. but i dont really have a tutor to guide.. yeah.. i still have my former japanese tutor's number but i doubt he still remember me.. and i don't think he gives private lessons or something like that.. i do have the materials i think i need.. i have the books.. all i'm left is some coaching.. but that can wait.. until i got my cert for korean first.. one at a time...

before i start attending classes.. it's time to refresh and give my memory a jolt... i have forgot more than half of my vocabulary and grammar.. and work on my listening if i'm serious about taking exams.. i really have bad hearing.. and listening tests is my nightmare.. base on my past listening test experience for japanese.. i think you can find something about it in one of my posts during 2007.. i think.. if you're interested.. i dread listening tests...

okay.. enough blabbing.. it's actually 1am.. and i should be in my bed dreaming about the good-looking korean artiste... male ones.. of course.. hehe.. i always thought choi siwon is kinda cute.. hehehe...

expecting a photo???
sorry to disappoint you..
i'm too lazy to run a google search..
and no.. i don't have his photos stored in my "my pictures" folder..
also... i'm lazy to upload.. or more accurately.. i'm lazy to wait for it to upload although i don't mind blabbing about my laziness...

Ermmm.. Taiwan trip 1 (June-July2010)

A week has past since the start of year 2011... Here I am again.. To be honest, I actually don't have a single clue about what to update here..

well... after almost half an hour of leaving this page.. I decided to post the most awaited Taiwan trip post.. day 1...

stick around yo while i upload the photos...

I forgot what time was the flight but i remember it was during the morning.. so i reach LCCT at around 7am.. When I walked into the airport, I coincidentally bump into my cousin brother, it appears that he's going on a company trip to Bali... Small world.. It seems that I'm the earliest among the group so I stood aimlessly waiting for the rest to show up until I heard someone calling my name.. and it happens to be another cousin brother who lives in Kota Bharu.. I haven't met him for years, and he still recognises me.. Hehehehe.. he's joining my cousin(mentioned before) for the company trip...

alright.. done with me family reunion stuff.. here's some photos..

on the way to board the plane to Taoyuan airport...

There's nothing much about the journey.. so i'll fast forward... we've now reach Taoyuan airport..

Ok.. I know it seems the same.. but that's 2 different airports in 2 different countries.. Tell me, which airport does not have escalators??

this is our room when we were staying in Taipei

kinda cosy... not bad~~ hehe..

alright.. our first stop.. Danshui... first meal.. Danshui a-gei..

a stroll along the roads of Danshui..

and we witness our first night scene at Taiwan..

After Danshui, we head back to Jiantan (where we were staying) and went to Shihlin night market...

quite a popular place in Taipei...

one of the shops was having a sale.. and of course, that caught our attention...

don't doubt.. this is what we bought... heheh..

before heading back to our place.. we bought dinner...

This is my absolute favourite... cheese potato!! yummmm....

so that wraps up our first day..
and I know it's very absolutely short.. with a very minimal number of photos... well, I'm not that good in describing stuff in english so i kept the whole post as simple as possible.. and the photos.. it takes time to upload and i'm rushing off for dinner.. so just bear with it..

until we have the next post...

Belated New Year post

It's the third day of the year already... and i haven't post anything up yet.. Better get something on here first.. being neglected in the new year is not a good thing... even for a blog..

There's actually another post in my drafts waiting to be posted.. just that i haven't got the photos uploaded into my computer so it's still lying in my drafts waiting for this one fine day where it could see the daylight.. Yeah.. i admit that i'm very lazy when it comes to uploading photos.. which is why my taiwan trip post that i have promised is not up yet..

alright.. let's get on with the typical new year post.. what shall I be writing about?? what else?? new year resolutons.. before i start blabbing about some dreams that i might not be able to achieve.. let's check if i have set any resolutions for the past year... hold on yo!!

alright.. it turns out that I only have 2 new year resolutions for 2010 (after summarising)..
first.. graduate with first class honours..
gosh!! this will be my worst nightmare.. not only that i'm not anywhere near it.. I can only settle with the majority of second class upper.. there goes my hopes of applying scholarships and stuff.. sigh~~

second.. find a decent job after graduation..
Ooo.. this is much better.. although i have been through a series of job hopping experience.. but i finally settled in a decent place, having a job that i think i'll be able to settle in for 2 years before heading off for my masters degreee..

So, will i be making any more new year resolutions for 2011?? maybe.. give me a few minutes to think..
alright..
first and foremost.. I wanna go for another oversea trip.. I'm actually planning to go to Singapore as it is nearer and I might be able to save some of the hotel expenditure as i have relatives staying there.. and there's not only one.. besides, I wanna have a look around Universal Studios.. I heard that it's kinda pricey.. so I'm still saving for it.. hopefully, I could secure my funds..

secondly, continue learning either japanese or korean.. I feel it's kinda wasted being left as it is.. I haven't decide which to continue yet though.. mast probably it will be korean as I'm still in touch with my korean seon seng nim.. we'll see how it goes..

thirdly, ermm... I was stuck here for 5 whole minutes (playing with country story at the same time).. so I assume i have no more ideas for resolutions for now.. i'll update if I suddenly thought of any..

Okay... That's all for now..

Time for December

Right... I'm back for my once-a-month update... It's the last month of the year 2010... How time flies.. during the beginning of this year, I was worrying about being jobless after graduation.. It seems like... Ok.. It's kinda long ago... just it doesn't seem like 11 months ago.. maybe like 6 months?? it feels like it though.. oo.. cut the crap~~ in a nutshell, i'm just in denial in the aging process...

December is suppose to be the cold month with warms hearts... as Christmas is near.. jingle bells, snowflakes, feasts, get-together and presents!!!! I never really celebrated Christmas... I'll usually tag along when my friends are celebrating... never really had to mood on my own.. So, what's going on this year?? I'm not that sure yet... hopefully, it'll be fun... even if it involves staying at home watching TV programmes aired by the channel in line with the festive season.. there can still be fun..

This marks almost the end of the year 2010... and to summarise what have i done during the whole year... you can find those events in my previous posts... well.. I never post anything that I wouldn't wanna share.. so feel free to browse around for the history of my life... hmm.. this sounds good.. I should definitely add it in my profile...
Let's see... I had my very last semester in university... sit for my very last final exam (hopefully it's my last..).. then I started work on the very next week after my finals.. guessing that i'm one of the earliest people to start working in my batch... had my moments during that time.. it was fun.. ups and downs... but it's a great experience in my life.. had a bunch of new friends along the way... then i came to the part where i had some, lose some, had it again and lost it without even knowing it... Oh, not forgetting my trip to Taiwan... I haven't been updating about it here.. the delay was due to the unorganised photos... Now i have them organised.. so i guess it'll be up sooner or later.. and then.. a round of roller coaster ride emotionally.. i landed on to my current job.. which I am adapting pretty well and quite happy with what i have..
these are the bigger stuff happening about me throughout the year.. for other smaller stuff.. i might have forgotten them already.. i myself need to check back my posts...

alright... I guess i'm done for now... hopefully to get another post up again before the year ends..

Baby.. baby.. baby Oooh~~~ (I don't wanna grow up)

When I say grow up, I mean my age... It's a pain to the number increases every year marking how long have I exist here... However, I wouldn't wanna turn back time or something, I'm not thrilled about going back to my school days... I just don't want the numbers of my age to add, it can stay the way as it is now.. I'm very happy with it..

I have always want to scram off school exams and assignments to step into the working world... earning my own pay cheque.. which is why I always want my study years to be short as possible.. which explains my devastation when i screwed up my PTS... i skipped form 6, a-levels and any other pre U programmes that require more than 1 year..

Now I have started working, I am one of the youngest.... as like I have mentioned that my university years is shorter than the typical STPM route which most of my colleagues took.. I am currently the youngest in my team which I'm enjoying... knowing that i have exceeded certain expectations where people would usually judge someone who have just graduated fresh out of university with zero experience in the society... Although I don't have much experience, being in the production field has really speed things up for me.. I have seen all kinds of people and been at work at all hours you can find on the clock... I will grow old in super speed if i stayed in production full time for another 2 years...

So, I'm really enjoying the attention as the youngest, i guess that's because i have been the eldest in the family ever since I was born, being the youngest seem like a new experience, something that i hardly get the chance to try... For my next birthday, i'll wish that my age will stop increasing and the aging process will be irrelevant in my life... weee...

I feel old everytime somebody tell me his/her age that is younger than me... that includes the time when I was a volunteer at the Youth 10 Festival where everybody are schooling kids, mostly in university or just started pre-U.. i was the only one graduated.. I felt old and separated from the group even though some of us were like a year or two apart...

maybe, being young is just an excuse for my kiddy and childish behaviour like constantly hugging my teddy bear or other plushies on my desk during work... And being super happy when a colleague who is going for maternity leave offer me to adopt her Jack-Jack for 3 months.. I was super thrilled for the whole day...

Guess which is mine...

With a guest around... the others will certainly grab the chance to take photos.. especially when it looks exactly like Mo JackJackJack...

We call him Guest Jack..

Aren't they cute??

WK

My summary of my days in Wolters Kluwer.. 10 stuffs about them~~

*I'm kinda addicted to this 10 points thing.. i think its a great way to keep me writing.. hehe..

Let's move on with it....

1. I have a big cubicle, a U-shape desk with 3 bears(mine); 2 pencil holder with 4 pens, stick on notes, 2 pencils, liquid paper, 4 highlighters, a ruler; a 3-tier tray, a pc, a file with my training notes; a few binders and books... and i'm very happy with it.. a lot of space.. hehe..

2. I have a nice team, with great team mates around to guide me and an understanding team leader (when I was so stressed out with the indexer.. she said to transfer him/her to my team leader, she'll help me handle him/her.. nice!!)

3. Nice and funny colleagues around.. and go to lunch with... although I'm the youngest but there's no gap.. so i guess i'll have to admit that i have an old heart... Sigh~~

4. a great pantry, with unlimited supply of coffee, teh tarik, hot chocolate... hehe.. and biscuits for snacks.. and it's just opposite my cubicle.. just a few steps away.. weeee...

5. my office is situated in a very quiet place in cyberjaya.. super quiet!! same applies to the environment in the office.. It's like a library... the sounds you hear are tapping on the keyboard, footsteps, the coffee machine, the water dispenser and random whispers..

6. I have started on my products.. so far ok but i still need to refer to notes and seniors...

7. we had fun and happening celebrations... Hari raya open house (team members pot-luck and brought food.. we eat and play games, our team manage to win rm100 in the charade!!) Deepowraya celebration (there were sketches imitating petronas ads, food!! the caterer was great! yummylicious!! and a kolam competition among teams.. my first time doing a Kolam.. it's very hard and fun!! although we didn't win..)

8. I get to arrange my shifts... hehe.. as long as i reach the office before 10am... which is very nice.. hehe

9. we have team activities every now and then... last week, we went for satay session at putrajaya..

10. last but not least, i kinda enjoy working here.. the job, the environment, the people are all kinda nice.. hehe..

iyammaveryboreingpersonn...

HI!! Just somehow in the mood of writing something.. so here I am... after 1 month in my current company.. i have got to know some of my colleagues pretty well... by listening to their conversations during lunchtime and some sharing.. I think i'm one of the youngest in the group... but i seriously think i look old.. Sigh~~

They have been asking that why did i switch my field from an exciting, happening broadcast tv production field to a boring, routine-ed publishing field?? "it's just routine work, doing the same thing everyday, you'll get bored easily..." Why did you come here?? tv production must be a better and fun environment to be spending your young and carefree days (which i think they mean know, judging on their reaction when they knew my age)".. I know.. i am totally aware of what i am currently signing up for... i know it's gonna be routine work.. i understand that it'll be a 7.5hr job during the weekdays, sitting in the office for 7.5hrs a day, without having to travel.. the furthest i have to walk is from my desk to the cafe which is situated downstairs and at the end of the floor but I dont go there frequently..

the course i studied for my degree is not destined for a 9-5 office job... people enroll to that course for the one main reason is to escape from getting into a 9-5 office job... so what am i doing?? as i have said in the previous post... tv production?? been there, done that... 4 months of internship and 3 months of "part-time" employment is enough for me to see where will i head to if i continue sinking myself into the industry... yes, i like production work... but the things that i like is to be handling the casts and supervising the script (which i hope is written by me), and maybe be in charge of the wardrobe.. that's all i guess.. i don't enjoy experimenting camera angles and lighting, i dont have the interest in arranging the props and trying to make them all look nice on the screen, i dont have the patience to see one thing shot over and over and over and over just to get the perfect shot... and last but not least, i don't like to hang around and act busy because honestly sometimes i have nothing to do on shoot... so i guess i am not that into production after all... the things that i enjoy is lesser than the things that i don't... so since i'm "young and carefree".. i guess i should try my other options and venture into other fields or industry.. like my second choice, the journalism, publishing field.. which i am trying out now..

i know it'll not be as happening and exciting as tv production... all i have is words and more word documents to accompany my hours.. however, i do admit... i'm not a happening and always-seeking-for-excitement person.. i dont plan my weekends.. i prefer staying at home with my tv or computer... i do take annual leaves for nothing (ok, the main reason is to clear them so that they wont go to waste)... i don't mind staying at home 24/7, i have my own ways of entertainment at home.. people will ask, why waste your time going home early?? don't you have any after work programmes?? honestly, no.. i hardly have any.. so a boring job for a boring person is just a match from heaven... they go together perfectly..

if you ask me, do i miss my old life in tv production.. well, yes, i do.. for the things mentioned above, handling casts, wardrobe and scripts... the rest... i can do without them... which is also why i now keep a journal with me.. ok, it's acts as a notebook as well (since i really can't use my pretty journal collection), my yearly organiser... i need to have something to write on.. my blogs are getting more and more exposed to people that i don't want them wandering around about my life... a personal journal works for me then... i could even jot down inspirations... if only i could draw... then it'll be lovely and more interesting instead of dull single-colored writings... but anyway, that also shows how boring am i...

how long have i been spending writing this post??

my life as a hoarder..

I said my post will be at a monthly basis so here I am now.. doing what I've said i'll do...

My current life is filled with work.. ever since my previous post which I have mention that i'm fitting into my new position.. now, my training is over and I'll be getting my very first product next Friday.. woohoo!! Malaysia Employer's Handbook.. a Top ten product man!! a newbie's first product is a top ten!! stress... hopefully I won't screw up..

I'm now helping my team mates with their product.. for one, i'm getting a hand of what to do.. and then, i have them to check for me after I'm done.. which is a very good thing because i'm not at all confident with what i am doing... hopefully I did not screw up a lot.. wooo.. so nervous about my first product.. I'll first have to be certain about what i have to do when i get a product.. hopefully the 101 briefing on monday will fill me with those details..

after the updates of my life.. let's start on the topic for this post.. i talked about self narcissism during the last post.. this time i'll like to talk about hoarders.. accumulating stuff for an unknown future use.. which also means for no particular reason.. accumulating for the sake of keeping... well.. some things may seem like rubbish to one but a treasure to another.. although i do belong to the category of a hoarder but i do have my arguments.. maybe they might sound the same as any other hoarders out there.. but still.. those are valid reasons..

you keep the plastic wrapper of your favourite toy.. rubbish?? how can it be?? you'll never know you might need to wrap the toy back again or maybe there's something else that needs wrapping and the size happens to fit!!

you keep your old textbooks.. not for the sake of revising (there might be times that you MIGHT, i said might need to revise your moral textbook), i have other reasons for those.. i'm keeping them around for the sake of the pictures inside.. as moral textbooks will always have pictures.. those are for future picture assignments.. since i'm not good in drawing.. i could cut and paste those picture that matches my need of the assignment.. isnt that a good reason??

i keep my old worn out clothes around because i might need them for the cloth and stuff.. as there are a lot of D.I.Y articles everywhere.. these old clothes may come in handy when you need cloths or buttons and other accessories on the clothing.. It's useful to have it around just in case...

as for my old toys.. for the sake of remembrance.. a sign of my childhood.. i love them a lot.. as each and every one of them have a different story within it... that's priceless, you know...

since i like to accumulate things.. and therefore i have a lot of things.. sigh~~ but i just couldnt bear seeing them end up in the trash.. or anywhere else out of my sight... all of them mean something to me... even a piece of paper have its value..

i have been trying to get rid of this habit.. i persuaded myself that old magazines will not have any use in the future.. and sold them all to the old newspaper man.. after a period of reluctance, that is.. i am still trying.. i can still keep stuff around, i guess.. i just have to organise them..

well, that's me as a hoarder.. i admit that i am one.. i dont need you telling me how serious is my condition and need to start throwing stuff away.. i'm completely aware of that.. but i still can't throw it off.. not yet...
