Anticipation..

I can't believe this is actually happening, all the excitement and anticipation throughout the months are now paying off as I am soon going to board the plane and head to Macau and take the ferry to Hong Kong...

I have been planning this trip ever since I booked the tickets which was last May, looking out for hotels, travel routes, places of interest, the local attractions and about everything available in Hong Kong and Macau...

After 10 months of looking forward to, the day has finally arrived. I am now in mixed feelings where one part of me is really excited and wanting to take off this instant; but another part of me is kinda sorrow that after this, all the excitement is going to end...

Oh well, as least I still have another trip to look forward to... but this is not relevant... So anyway, Hong Kong has always been mu favourite country ever... Since I was a kid, I was exposed to TVB dramas and I totally fell in love with them.. WHich inspired me to be a scriptwriter (which I am still not one... yet) and grew my love towards the small congested place..

Despite the size and the hectic living, I really don't know what is the main factor that makes me love this place so much.. I even thought of moving or at least stay there not for traveling reasons but to experience the life as a citizen there...

Alright.. Now, I am done expressing my love towards Hong Kong, so I guess I shall now go to bed as I will be missing it for 6 nights and prepare for my flight tomorrow~~

Korean Carnival

Well, I think my Japanese Cultural event post is still hidden somewhere in my drafts after... let me see.. 4 years, i guess.. anyway, here's the recent Korean carnival I've helped out..

First things first, I'm sorry, there's no photos of korean guys or girls captured during that day.. nor were there any human in my photos.. I conveniently forgot to bring my camera and all I have was my loyal 2mp camera phone.. so there's just so much to share then..

I was there at 8am to help out.. as a helper to the event organiser.. my duty is to help out whenever help is needed.. and my main duty is to guard the souvenir booth..

Here are the close-ups

These are.. I forgot what is it called in Korean.. It's for blessing.. something like a good luck charm in Korea.

I Love Korean souvenir cards.. cute huh??

These are bookmarks.. really nice.. One of the top-selling products of the day...

The top are postcards... the bottom are coasters with traditional korean female characters..

hanging deco stuff and mini bookmarks.. the mini bookmarks are also the one of the best selling items..

Pencil case... colourful!!

Fans~~

 Korean characters' stickers...

 Pouches...

And more pouches.. I really like this one.. It looks like the shape of Doraemon's pocket..

Those are the front side of the booth... Here's the "backstage" of the booth.. It's not too messy, I guess..

That's all for photos... The carnival went on from 10am to 6pm and I stayed throughout the whole event.. and even participated in the lucky draw... knowing my luck, I went back empty handed... except for kimbaps and kimchi..

alrightey..

The 3rd month of the 3rd cycle of my life

Since I have started this blog, there'll be a post on the 1st of March for almost every year... So I guess I should make it a trend now.. The 1st day of March marks the coming of my birthday, which I will be celebrating in another country..

So that marks the 3rd cycle of my life, according to the Chinese zodiac.. So much yet to be achieved and here I am, stuck in my comfort zone, too scared to walk out and face the harsh, coarse reality.. In the 3rd cycle of my life, should I seek for a change and step out from what i have been fitting in comfortably for the past 2 years?? I might give it a try.. but that will happen after my study trip.. I sure hope I won't start doubting my decision by then..

I have regretted a lot about thousands of decisions that I have made but never took action to fulfill it.. Leaving it to rot until it disappears and what's left are predictions and "what if"s... So for now, I think I will have to stay strong to my decisions and really try to make it work... Since I am not that young anymore.. there are things that I might not have the courage or passion to do when I strike the older age...

For now, my goals are to travel alone and study abroad... I have been thinking about the work and travel programme, but I am not that keen to go to USA or New Zealand.. I am more interested in Asian countries, China, Japan or Korea.. are there any work and travel programme for these countries??

I'll be off to the panda neighbourhood next week... So stay tune for some picture-heavy blog posts...
