dj liveshow rehersal + counselling
its the first day of march again!!!! *winks winks...
people will start thinking as though i have eye problems now....
ah... yes... i have a bunch of assignments waiting for me to complete... and also a handful of mid terms to sit for next week....
let's just put these behind first....
i just had my dj live show presentation rehersal yesterday.... i was delayed till last because my songs can't play... by right i should be the 7th in line..... however... thanks to miss mai!!!! she helped me settled my music problems and let me go on with me rehersal....
however.... maybe i'm just not used to using the school's cubase software.... Commercial break:EXCUSE!!!! i had timing problems... i actually spoke slower than i thought i would.... so at the end i was busy moving my tracks behind in order to not let it play suddenly when i'm talking.... then during the first song i actually moved the wrong button on the console which made my background song louder instead of my actual song.... ish ish... i cursed S**T... i wonder if anybody heard it thru the mic??? hopefully my background song is loud enough to cover the word... but miss mai didn't say anything about that so i guess no one heard it... heeee.....
my time was ok.... comments i got from miss mai is that my voice is too flat... not emotional enough.... oh well... i know i have a dull-lowpitch-boring voice.... i must learn how to express by controlling my volume... i guess... that's the only way since my voice is borned that way.... no point changing it into the highpitch-chipmunklike voice like i always do when i'm in high pitch.... overall... the presentation was ok.... i need to work on my timing and rearrange my tracks....
today... our group went for a counselling session with dr yap (our radio broadcasting lecturer) at campustown.... about our personalities and whether did we make the right decision by choosing broadcasting as our major subject for degree.... so far i heard that she said a lot of us(broadcasting students) made the wrong choice of choosing broadcasting... some will do much much better in other courses such as business.... chemistery.... engineering... etc etc.... big difference, ain't it????? how could someone change from chemistery which involves a lot of lab work to broadcasting which is more to dealing with people???? luckily for me.... she didn't really comment much on my personality test result as i DID THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!!! heee... she said i'm suitable wroking in the broadcasting field.... heee... and i might work out well being a script writer!!! yay!!!!! luckily i did the right choice!!! i was so worried that she will say that i have doing the wrong thing all this while... i should not be aiming to venture into the broadcasting field... i should go for other things.... after she said she found that there are quite a number of students who have made the wrong choice... doing something that is not at all suitable for them.... phew....

crammed!!!!
Your EQ is 120 |
You usually have it going on emotionally, but roadblocks tend to land you on your butt. On an average day, you're quite happy, together, and content. You live your life well. Your emotions aren't always stable, but you can go along with the ups and downs pretty well. You tend to be motivated, energetic, focused, and level headed. You see the world pretty rationally, and you don't tend to over dramatize things. When things are bad, you know they eventually have to get better. |

extra languages???
Hey!!! I suddenly have a very strong urge to start learning Korean.... ish!!! My neighbour just moved in... previously lived a chinese man and his "chinese"(from China) girlfriend, a golden retriever by the name of Ben but i call hem "Hep" cuz his owner always address him this way and not forgetting a very cute puppy (which i don't know which breed is it) called pierre.. (its actually called 调皮(tiao pi)... as you know chinese from china have the accent as "pi" will become "pierre"... heee...
Oh yeah... I forgot to mention that my new neighbour is korean.... listening them conversing in korean sounds so cool if only i understand the language..... ish.... all of a sudden.... the urge of learning languages came back to me after it strucked me a few months ago.... but i have to give it up due to the time of classes.... it's back again..... i wanna learn... korean... maybe spanish.... french sounds hard.... italian sounds ok.... heee... i'm so greedy sometimes....
but if i don't use these languages frequently after learning them.... i'll tend to forget them little by little.... that's a waste!!!!
here i am writing the script for my assignment.... the drama script.... stuck a few times judging how many times have i pause to come here for some scribbles.... its week 7 already!!!! half of my semester is gone now!!!! oh gosh!!! i better continue with my script....

| You are Totally Realistic |
"Romance" means you're about to roll your eyes Seriously, you can do without the sap or drama Save it for someone who has nothing really going on in their relationship For you, love is real - and easily integrated into your life You don't need candles, flowers, or chocolates to know he's the one Just some stimulating conversation... and maybe a great smile. |

Happy chinese new year!!!!
| What my name Means |
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people. Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems. Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home. You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble. You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. |

frustrations and funs you can find in the uni
| You Are Lightning |
Beautiful yet dangerous People will stop and watch you when you appear Even though you're capable of random violence You are best known for: your power Your dominant state: performing |
Yes.... i'm capable of random violence..... especially when i'm so frustrated.... i'm suppose to hand in a literature review for my mass media and society assignment.... but i'm so stuck.... i'm suppose to pick out the main points and list them out using my own words.... but the problem is... i cant use my own words... my words are actually the same as the ones in the passage, what a coincidence!! (not!)... i cant think of anyy way to rewrite them.... i have been using too much direct-quotes already..... ish.... how am i going to hand in this thing tomorrow????!!!!
Note: its 31 of january now.... i forgot to click the publish button yesterday and my computer ditched me off my connection.... luckily there's the auto-save function in blogger.... saved my work...
now... back to blogging.... i have handed in my literature review thingy.... i did more than it was required.... all the extra work.... its actually very very simple... just that the tutor did not explain how its supposed to be done.... the whole bc3 rushed to the computer lab right after the mass media tutorial class... the lab is conquered by us.... everyone has something to edit about their literature review... at least i'm not the only one who did a lot of extra work....
during advertising tutorial today.... we were require to propose a new product and convince our tutor and classmates to buy them.... our group proposed a 2 in 1 flat heels... which you can turn it into flats or heels depending on your mood... the tutor was quite impressed with our draft of the product and even said that he will send it in for competition..... woo-hooo!!!!! note:the picture will also be uploaded later since the photo is not with me.... and then... there's another tutorial activity that we have to prepare during the next tutorial.... we were to divide into 3 groups and propose a coffee shop business... one targeting students, another targetng exclusive, and the last one targeting the older citizens.... there will be 3 observer in the activity as the rest will have to debate along about their coffee shop's proposal.... i can say that i was kinda lucky to be picked by the tutor to be the observer.... then i'll have one thing less to do... but however i'll still have to study the advertising principles in order to observe the group..... i can't believe that the tutor actually know my name as he was always have the trouble of remembering names... especially mine is not a common name that will automatically come out from your mouth... i thought he will pick marc, stephanie, kevin... as everybody remembers their names..... heee....
its our lab session today.... we had tons of fun!!!! playing around with the equipments... acting as DJs... being drama queens.... note:pictures will be uploaded later... since i dont have them too with me... we recorded a few short situation dramas from our own creation... being as dramatic as possible... we saved those but i choose not to reveal them here.... its embarassing.....

gaining weight for the new year????
ish.... everybody is trying so hard to keep themselves as slim as possible for the chinese new year and here i am muching along snacks when its not even mealtime.... how am i suppose to be slim????
i have been eating non stop nowadays.... especially when uni started.... i come home almost everyday with a grumbling stomach no matter how much i ate for lunch that day.... maybe that's because i come home for lunch twice a week and have lunch before going to school once a week... so overall i'll only be eating lunch at school for 2 days.... so i always come home with a hungry stomach not only for lunch but even when i already had lunch..... ish....
i have not check my weight lately.... actually i'm afraid i'll be too terrified... horrified... petrified... by my sudden weight gain.....
how????
i just can't stand being hungry.... its not comfortable being hungry..... so i'll just have to satisfy my appetite......
whoosh.....
i don't really have time for exercising now.... assignments and tutorial activities and presentations are piling up now... gotta work on it.... *boink... you have time to blog about your stupid weight and eating issues but you don't have time to exercise??!!!!
okok... i admit its an excuse..... i'm just lazy..... too lazy to move my lazy bum around to work out and exercise....
failure........

i'm bored....
here i am again in the internet lab waiting for my class.....
my doesn't start until 2.... and i have waiting for 2 1/2 hours now.....
whoosh.....
at first i was planning to look up for the references for my assignments.... chinese new year.... lullaby.... meditation music...... datuk gong..... etc.....
however the results was not very satisfying as i have only found 1 book which somehow mentioned something about chinese new year in the middle of the book which is about a paragraph or so.... then i found a book all about meditation.... but its doesn't touch on the music that are used during meditation-ing...... and how about that..... 0 founds on the datuk gong topic.... ish.....
so... ok.... since i can't find anything in the school library then maybe i could try my luck with the mpsj hypermedia library..... i logged into their website searching links after links until i finally reached the hypermedia website and found that their opac system is not working due to "penambahbaikan"....
what the!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
honestly.... why do university assignments want book references???? excuse me.... its the techno-century now.... people use the internet more that they eat or sleep now.... however they claim that internet references are not reliable..... so book or hard copy references are compulsory.... besides they must have the mojority in your reference list..... ish ish ish......
i wanna go look for book reference but there are none to be found....
why are you treating me like this??????!!!!!!!

Can you actually believe that???!!
now i bet people will be asking....
"believe what wey????"
"what's the fuss la wei???"
"kecoh mengada...."
yup... by being the "kecoh-mengada" person.... i just can't believe i'm having the writer's block after i found my disc of fanfic backups within a stack of random cds last weekend....
what the!!!!
its such a waste as i had such great brilliant ideas in the past and just forgot about them completely.... just because i thought my memory was so good that i don't have to rely on my pen and paper jottings.... but it's my idea so i thought i could just remember them... they are original though.. fresh out from my mind.... how could i forget them so easily???!!!!
whoosh... its so frustrating when you got the mood, the time and the references (which is all the previous chapters)... ideas will just pack their bags and go off for a vacation or something.... then when they are back from god-knows-where they have been... i might either... don't have the time... the mood.. or even the materials to jot them down.....
why are you treating me like this???!!!
well... i will have to rely on my diary for the jotting-down business.... but i somehow don't feel comfortable letting people see my drafts as they are usually full of mistakes and unlogical scenes... i don't mind them seeing or reading the final post-ups but the rough copy??? its so embarassing letting people read your mistakes and asking about the out-of-the-box ideas (aka unlogical)... its the first day i bought my diary to school and "people" are passing it around jotting down their birthdays... ish.... (hehe... no offense "la"... just kidding)
i'm now thinking whether should i write my stories in cantonese characters or just translate my ideas to english..... writing in cantonese seems a little weird but its closer to my actual idea... while writing in english makes it ok to be posted into my fanfic blog but as you know my english.... "sucks"....
so now what????
here i am staring at the microsoft word documents i opened without a single word typed into it.... what can i say???!!! i'm a failure......
-its thaipusam tomorrow... and its a public holiday... means no class... yippie??? sigh.... means i have to replace my 2 lecture classes which were supposed to be held tomorrow.... which also means more saturday classes for me.... that is why i kinda hate holidays during the teaching/learning semester... however i don't mind them after the semester.... don't get me wrong-

LUCK is On the Way!!!!
| You Had a Fantastic Year! |
Compared to most years, last year was definitely great. Overall, you're living a much better life than you were twelve months ago. And nothing is a better mark of a good year. Here's to hoping next year is even better! |
means i may have a great year ahead of me then.... yippie!!!
i just realised that i really don't have the habit of checking my emails and messages regularly in all places except those in my blogs.... i currently have more than 200 unread mails in my hotmail.... more than 400 unread mails in my yahoo account... bout 30 in my gmail... and more than 200 unread messages in my friendster message board.... ish.... its not that i dont like reading them but its just too many and it gets more everytime i see them.... judging how long i log in to my friendster account.... so people... if you have a message for me which requires an almost immediate response... please leave that message in any one of my blogs.... i'll be replying you right after i see them... but if its too long to leave them here... you can always leave me a short message here that you have a message/mail for me at which email account... then i'll straight away go check.... no biggie....
now... i have just found something that will brighten up my dull day.... i found backups!!!!!!
backups of my stories that i have wrote... however i dont remember doing those backups... but its there!!!! yay!!! i can update my fanfic blog and the uncontinued story in my yahoo kimo blog... yesh!!!!! my luck is getting better now.... hopefully it doesn't stop here.... and i'm starting new stories too.... i got my new 2008 diary... i'll be filling it with details of my stories here and there like what i have been doing last time... i realise that my diaries don't contain my story inspirations anymore since i started my uni life.... its time to retrace... i really like writing stories... in chinese or english(usually the translated version.. my first hand ideas are usually in chinese)....
back to my story-writing life.... fanfics... here i come!!!!

What the ****!!!
i'm back to battle against the spiderwebs around the corners of my blog...
oh gosh... i cant think of anything to write.... total blank-ness
ok... i'll just grumble about my unlucky-ness these few days...
let's start with yesterday.... all begins with cultural and religious studies.... the tutor wrote down all the assignment titles on the board... 7 of them... we(my assignment group members) were pondering around a certain "datuk gong" topic.... all of us were like... "what in the world in this "datuk gong" thing???"... "better not get that topic.."
we were all aiming to get the malay wedding procedure topic...
but!!!!!!!
when its time to draw lots.....
guess what????
look like this "datuk gong" guy really like us... as we got "datuk gong"... no further questions asked....
ok... this was still ok because i found an article about "datuk gong" and its quite informative as its complete with the references as well... so now we know what book to look for....
NEXT!!!
mass media and society.... another draw lots session about assignment topics.... there were 2 topics to choose (draw, to be accurate) from.... which is MUSIC genre.... and reality TV.... well... all 4 group members in my assignment group know nuts about music.... ya.. we do listen to music but we dont go into details about the genre and stuff... we just listen to what we like....
and guess what??? (you're right!!)
we've got MUSIC GENRE!!!!!!!
what the hell!!!!!!!
i know some of you love music.... and will be wondering why am i making such a big fuss for getting that topic because "music is nice ma..."
i agree music is nice... but the problem is.... i don't know any other thing about music besides the tadpoles on the 5 lined ladder.... how am i going to be able to differentiate the genres???!!! i dont even know how many genres are there to choose from..... help!!!!
just my luck as i'm the one who drawed both of the topics.... ish ish....
good luck charm... anyone????

Your 5 impressions of him/her:
(This is weird)

- extremely smart!!!!
- great sense of fashion eventhough he's a guy...
- always in the wrong timing....
- kinda popular too....
Most memorable things he/she has given/done to you:
er... stood up for me.... when people discriminate my nationality....
he becomes my lover, you will:
why did i do this tag is the first place??? like old times....
If he/she becomes your enemy, the reason will be:
i'm too suspicious for my own good....

back again... (from short term memory loss)
i finally remembered what i was planning to write earlier....
-applause-
thanks...
firstly i have a confession to make....
i have been very mean today!!!!
then...
i owe someone an apology....
i'm so so so sorry... tracy....
i really didn't mean to put you out of our group.....
i'm so sorry.....
just that stephanie and karlim wants to stick together so.... i thought you have been working with zy and gang before and you guys worked together great... so... i thought maybe you wouldn't mind joining them.. i'm so sorry....
i hope you guys will work out great!!!! better than our group.... owe you and your group that....
to stephanie and karlim....
welcome to our syok sendiri group.....
i hope you guys will be able to get used to our way of working.....
good luck to everybody!!!!!
... i forgot the main topic for this post... oh well...
anyway.... back to my original topic.... yikes... i forgot what's the main topic of the day!!!!!
ticky tocky tick tocky....
nevermind..
i'll just talk about others first....
about my classes then... anybody interested????
if not then just navigate away.... sorry....
hmm.... most of the classes have not really start yet due to its the first week of school and nobody is in mood of listening to lectures... so lecturers will usually give a brief introduction of the subject... explain the assessments and let us ask questions about ANYTHING....
i have gone through introduction to advertising.... english for mass communication....malaysia:cultural studies and religious practices.... and radio broadcasting.....
next up... mass media and society taught by our very "beloved" mr. benjamin....
i just realised that utar exchanged pendidikan moral that we were suppose to have this semester with next semester's introduction to advertising... no wonder i always thought there's something missing..... so that means my bm will have to wait till the next semester to be called out and used again..... i guess they are all enjoying their vacation for now.... preparing for the worst..... good luck!!
its a public holiday tomorrow and good thing i have no lectures tomorrow because if i do i'm bound to get replacements during odd hours...... thank god....

frustrations... orientations....
well... i'll just share a portion of what happened yesterday..... which was really unfair!!!!!! just because of stupid mr.m doesn't speak the same language as we do!!!!
it was the orientation day for january 2008 intake in UTAR.... well, i am one of the helpers there.... i was in charge of the so-called goodies and t-shirt....
firstly... before any of the registration business start... we'll have to count and make sure that the amount of everything (t-shirts and so-called goodies) matches with the so-called very high-tech system... ok... after counting.... everything matches... even though the number does not match the actual number written before but as mr.m says... the system is never wrong!!!!!!
fine.... we'll follow the super-duper-system if you say so.... then here comes registration..... our counter has 2 laptops while other counters have only 1... being the only counter who has 2 laptops... we ask mr.m whether should we use both at the same time..... and he said: if you have 2 computers, use 2.... so back to business... tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock....
registration has ended and it was really fast.... so mr.m told us to count the stuff and see whether it matches the amount in the super-duper-system.... since we have been using 2 computers, therefore both have different amount under the remaining stock column.... so we'll just have to do extra work by adding both together....
after a round of counting.... most of our stock have extras.... well, that's not very good but its better than having less.... while we were wondering how come there's extras in our stock.... mr.m came over to our counter and start doing something... he said he was editing the system so that it will match the amount... then he asked us again whether are we sure that all the amounts are correct..... we said yes... then he ask again.... "do you have 60 m-size shirts"... we were like... "no!!" the opening amount of m-size shirts is 63... there's no way that we just gave out 3 shirts!! commercial break:m size is a popular size!!! so we looked at his so called system and said... that this was the amount of one of the accounts.... there's another account stating the remaining of 50... meaning we gave out 16 shirts.... but did mr.m listen???? no!!!! he said you must follow the system!!! not by calculating in your own way..... what the??!!! we have 2 accounts opened so we'll have to take both accounts into calculation.... but mr.m will just not accept the fact that 2 accounts can carry different numbers.... he said something like the system is never wrong.... so there must be 60 shirts instead of the actual 47..... that means instead of having an extra of 10 shirts in the beginning.... we are now short of 3 shirts.... same goes with all other sizes... now we are lacked of everything.... even the files (so-called goodies) which were the most accurate because everybody took a file!!!
so now... we'll have to recount everything.... and explain why the number doesn't match the super-duper-system..... it isn't that hard to understand right??? we have 2 accounts open during the registration session so both accounts are dealing with different amount of students... in the end of the day... as 1 counter... we'll have to deduct from both accounts to come out with one correct figure of the remaining stock at our counter... commercial break: is it that hard to understand??? if you don't please leave a comment telling me which part you don't understand...
but mr.m just don't get it and got all pissed and frustrated about our numbers.... what is wrong with you anyway??!!! why can't you just listen and understand???!!!! it was so unfair!!!! we tried to find proof that we actually have more students at our counter than what the super-duper-system says.... so we count the temporary id cards... because we got 100 in the beginning so the remains will tell us how many students did we entertain.... and yes!!! we entertained 31 students!! not 18 like what the super-duper-system says.... but how could we get mr.m to listen... every helper there understands our situation and even helped us explain... but mr.m just doesn't speak the same language as we do.... he stood firm by saying the system is never wrong... ish ish ish.....
what the problem with you, mr.m??? you come here and throw a sentence which only you understand, leaving us with invisible question marks all over and expects us to do what is told??!! how the hell are we going to follow your orders if we just don't understand them in the first place???!!! tell me!!!
